It’s so hard for me to relate to this message. I feel the complete opposite. I feel so underwhelmed. Life has become so dull that I have no motivation to do anything whatsoever. I’m on my second year of quarantine and I’m completely isolated from the world. Please pray for this emptiness I feel.

It is by His grace and mercy that I am able to be walking with Him, toward Him in the life that He wants to lead me to. He is the truth the love and the life. I never knew of this feeling before Him, and now that I have found it I never want to let it go! God you are SO GOOD, to lead Your people to each other and to touch those who haven’t seen or been a part of Your goodness! I am set free from the life I had before and NO ONE can ever take that away! God you have made a way for me to find meaning in my life and have showed what I am suppose to do to serve You and serve others. A lot of pastors always like to preach on being to busy, but what about those of us who aren't "busy enough". I'm a 40 year old guy who's single with no children, I work a full time job, spend very little time with my busy "friends", I workout, spend time with God throughout the day, I help people in need from time to time (homeless or not), and that's about it. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem NOT being apart of the "family group" who has a million things going on 24/7 with marriage, kids, and a stack of bills, but sometimes I feel like there's just not enough going on in my simple life. Like maybe God wants me to be busier doing more. It feels like such a crazy system no matter what way you go.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. If your not always actively doing something you are considered "lazy." We consider it normal to continually buy more of what we don't need so we can work even more to pay for it. We are trapped in the mindset of never enough and often pay for it with our lives. I've noticed its much easier to connect with God when you aren't always busy. The purpose of our creation was relationship but somehow that is a low priority for us. I love people that can enjoy a meal together without the phone or spending the day with someone who isn't distracted.

One of the things we need to focus on doing is not getting so caught up in our feelings about what the world thinks of us. It's all about what God thinks of us. It's either you're too busy or not busy enough in the world's view. The world will always wear you out if you're working to please it. The main takeaway from this message is to have a good balance and not overwhelm yourself with life in general and in order to do that you have to walk with the Lord daily and deny yourself daily.

But also times and lives are so diff. Did he have to work to pay for where he lived or food or take care of kids and a wife etc?? He has to walk and do as God told him.
We know that Jesus did work as well. He was a carpenter. But you are so right, our demands/schedules today may look very different than they did at the time Jesus lived. Even still, we can stay connected with God and focused on only doing what He wants, even as we steward the things He has entrusted to us in our lives.

A lot of pastors always like to preach on being to busy, but what about those of us who aren't "busy enough". I'm a 40 year old guy who's single with no children, I work a full time job, spend very little time with my busy "friends", I workout, spend time with God throughout the day, I help people in need from time to time (homeless or not), and that's about it. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem NOT being apart of the "family group" who has a million things going on 24/7 with marriage, kids, and a stack of bills, but sometimes I feel like there's just not enough going on in my simple life. Like maybe God wants me to be busier doing more. It feels like such a crazy system no matter what way you go.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. If your not always actively doing something you are considered "lazy." We consider it normal to continually buy more of what we don't need so we can work even more to pay for it. We are trapped in the mindset of never enough and often pay for it with our lives. I've noticed its much easier to connect with God when you aren't always busy. The purpose of our creation was relationship but somehow that is a low priority for us. I love people that can enjoy a meal together without the phone or spending the day with someone who isn't distracted.

One of the things we need to focus on doing is not getting so caught up in our feelings about what the world thinks of us. It's all about what God thinks of us. It's either you're too busy or not busy enough in the world's view. The world will always wear you out if you're working to please it.
The main takeaway from this message is to have a good balance and not overwhelm yourself with life in general and in order to do that you have to walk with the Lord daily and deny yourself daily.

But also times and lives are so diff. Did he have to work to pay for where he lived or food or take care of kids and a wife etc?? He has to walk and do as God told him.
We know that Jesus did work as well. He was a carpenter. But you are so right, our demands/schedules today may look very different than they did at the time Jesus lived. Even still, we can stay connected with God and focused on only doing what He wants, even as we steward the things He has entrusted to us in our lives.

My prayer is that though I've been hurt ,but that I don't spread that hurt on others BUT instead I spread love that agape love on the unsaved .
