Good to see you back, Gem. I'm guessing I speak for a lot of people to say we've missed you. Love the glittery Indigo (Indigo is one of my favorite colours, just like Payne's Grey) and I especially really like your painting on the right.

Thanks! We have a very similar sense of humour and aside from art, quite a few overlapping interests (dogs, farm-y things) so we are good company for each other 😊

The way you said that you’re not the same Gem :( My heart 😢 I so hope time will help you, not heal (because how do you heal from losing a piece of you?), but maybe come to terms? Glad to see you back! Natt is looking awesome! Julia is absolutely right that there’s no such thing as too much sparkle!
I would use Natt in galaxy backgrounds, night skies, maybe a body of water at night? I can’t wait to buy it and play with it. I can see it on Julia’s Etsy, but will wait for Cave shop to have it- I have a few other bits waiting in the basket 🎉

It's lovely to see you back Gem. Natt looks absolutely amazing. I can see if as quite a wonderful misty and magical forest painting. Somewhere you know that would be full of pixies and elves. That extra sparkle would bring the magic along. I do love a dark blue.
That is the most gorgeous paint I have ever seen. I like to do galaxies and night skies, and that paint would be perfect for starry skies.

I dont get on well with water colour and find it quite intimidating- love your one colour pictures, such a great idea and will be a fun way to try to be less scared of water colour. Think I'll give it a go :)

That colour is gorgeous
I'm a total sucker for gold and deep blues! Depending on the color, I do think there can be too much glitter. (ducking in case JuliaK is feeling feisty😅) But I've never found her (or yours, now Gem!) paints to have too much. She's always struck a perfect balance in making sparkly paints that aren't overpowering. Gonna need a pan of Natt, now. Really wish international shipping wasn't so darn expensive.

Gem I just found out about your loss...I too lost my best friend in December...Congestive Heart failure took her...I will keep you in ny thoughts and prayers...I am hoping to get to the stash shop to buy a few things...may even start collecting brushes and paint and stuff...I am sending you lots of LOVE and HUGS and UNDERSTANDING of what you are going through...I bought for myself it was a Derwent Inktense pallette...I am looking forward to having a play with it when I geel like arting again...LOVE YOU GEM, LOTS of LOVE and HUGE HUGS HUGS HUGS from Nova Scotia Canada HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS you can never have too many HUGS HUGS HUGS
So glad to see you are back, you have been missed! I had to watch some of your older videos to get my Gem fix. What a delightful pair you and Julia are, and what a lovely paint you made! I also have that compulsion to finish a book, no matter how crappy it becomes, but I do start some serious skimming to get through a bad book. My husband thinks I’m crazy when I complain about reading one, but I can’t help it, maybe it’s an OCD symptom? I think being realistic about what you can achieve with subpar paper helps, and clearly you have figured out strategies that work, so well done. You did a great job showcasing how Natt looked in different dilutions and I liked your paintings, even on difficult paper.
Julia and I are ridiculous when we get together, but in the best possible way. Glad I'm not alone in the book situation!
