Your videos are the best!!! Thank you for letting me test this wonderful pattern!! I'm waiting for some warmer weather to wear them :)
Thank you, Tina! You have been such a helpful pattern tester!! I could reallllly go for some warmer weather, too :)
Thank you. I’m going to be buying this soon. Would you recommend making these for men too?
Ooh that is a great question, something I haven't tried yet! I do find that my high waisted pants are great for men, because they typically wear them lower on the hips and want more crotch room (so no/minimal adjustments need to be made in that area), but then you might want to adjust the length of the pants to be a little shorter to accomodate for wearing lower. Anyway... please do let me know if you make a pair that is styled for men, I'd be very very intrigued to see if it's a good fit!
Great lesson! You clarified a lot of little points.
Question: "bootleg" style and the flared leg seem to be synonymous yet some bootleg have only a slight flare and are straighter or closer fitting rom hip down. I'd love to have a pattern like that. Do you have a pattern like that? Recommendations?
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! So far, this is the only pants pattern that I have digitized from my collection, but I will likely create one in the future! For now, you might check out some from Elizabeth Suzanne, I think she has a pair that might be similar to what you are looking for...
Thanks for sharing. Do you cut the elastic the same length as the back of the waist?
I cut the elastic at.... ([your total waist measurement"]/2) - 2.5" .... hope that helps!
Another very well-explained, tutorial!!! 🧵🪡 and, the step-by-step visuals help enormously! 📷
Thank you!! So glad it's helpful, I know visuals are always important for me, too!
Great tutorial.
