A little background on the team: oldest team in the league, smallest city of any major sports team in America, the only professional American team owned by the fans, and 13 time world champions (most in the league). Brett Favre came to Green Bay in the early 90's and brought us to our first world championship in 30 years. He was great. At the end of his career the Packers brought in Rodgers to replace Favre. Favre retired, Rodgers replaced him, Favre then comes out of retirement, and there was a split between people who wanted to bring back Favre and those who wanted to go with Rodgers. Packers went with Rodgers who lead us to another world championship victory. Favre was one of the greatest; but Rodgers (from a talent perspective) IS the greatest.

That game should have been a blowout. Two dropped passes that would have went for touchdowns and a dropped interception on a drive that got the Steelers a touchdown meant the score would have been 45 to 18. The Steelers really stood no chance. Packers had the better roster, Rodgers just got injured earlier in the season and they lost some games in the process nearly missing the playoffs.

I've been a Packers fan since 1964. I always thought that Bart Starr was the most intelligent QB I'd ever seen. Better than Unitas, Aikman, Brady, Brees and Marino. But Aaron Rodgers is in a league of his own. Maybe someday someone will come along to convince me otherwise, but I can't imagine how someone could be better at the position without the use of some pretty advanced science, or maybe the use of magic. The guy is that good!

12:09 that play still haunts me to this day. When that happened I even had a conspiracy that the dude who caught it was a android because in a screenshot of the catch he wasn’t even looking at the ball or the line. Just off into space.

Although I was born and raised in Texas, my family is all from Wisconsin. My first cousin lives in Green Bay just a few blocks from the stadium. His father (my uncle) got me a share of the Packers when I turned 18. The Packers are the only publicly owned team in the NFL, and I can actually say that I am an NFL owner and the Packers are my team. I especially LOVE seeing them beat the Cowboys since everybody I know is a Dallas fan...and I despise the Cowboys with every fiber of my being and will always do so as long as Jerry Jones owns that team.

Aaron Rodgers is my favorite player of all time and he’s the reason I got into football and if it wasn’t for him I would’ve never watched football. Just himself made me interested in football just because of how amazing he really is. If you got a rodgers Jersey that would be amazing! You won’t regret being a packers fan if you ever had to choose a team :)

On November 11th 2011 a friend of mine making a joke about how much of a big deal people were making about it being 11-11-11 said, "If 11/11 is such a big deal, shouldn't 12/12 be Aaron Rodgers day?" She started an online campaign and by 12/12/12 the State of Wisconsin official declared 12/12 as Aaron Rodgers Day. She even got to be the one to present him the official plaque.
In Wisconsin, Aaron ain't no joke. He is a phenomenal talent and will remain in the books as one of the greatest American Football players of all time.

So, it’s been said a lot, but I think a lot of people aren’t mentioning that Brett Favre played for Green Bay for 16 years, won a Super Bowl, and was overall a super likable guy. He was just a good ole Southern boy who won over the hearts of us northerners with his talent and goofiness. Brett Favre was almost like a family member to everyone in Wisconsin. The Packers and Favre had some serious miscommunication over his retirement. Favre said he felt like he was being forced to retire, so he did, but realized shortly after that he wanted to keep playing. Since Favre was the icon of the team and state for so long, people wanted him to come back, but the organization said no. Favre went to New York for one year, but jumped to Minnesota (a Green Bay rival) the year after out of spite. His switch to a rival team coupled with Rodgers’ rise to stardom won over Packers fans. The Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre have since made amends, with Brett Favre’s jersey number being retired, and him being inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame. I truly think Favre regrets retiring when he did, and especially regrets going to Minnesota.

These last couple of years, Rodgers had his own Favre-Rodgers situation with the GB quarterback, Jordan Love. Rodgers was traded to the NY Jets. After a. tough beginning, Love looks like he learned a lot from Rodgers and is impressive. Fans like me, who have grown up Packer fans here in Wisconsin, were glad to see Aaron move on due to some comments and arrogance issues. We'll welcome him home in GB when he retires. P.S. Great Rodgers throws happened with his great talent, great offensive line protection, and amazing receivers (catchers), too,

Wisconsin is where Green Bay calls home. My home state is one of the coldest places in the US and is one of the few places left with an open air stadium and real grass. Our winters get very cold and our coldest game was -13°F (-25°C). The Packers play on a field that can consistently be in the open air below freezing. Having a QB like Rodgers augmenting a team that is used to extremes makes for a very tough team. Our only issue during the Rodgers era has been a poor offensive line. Rodgers can't work his magic if he can't even take a second to look down the field.

I am a lifelong packer fan, I was born around the time the Packers acquired Brett Favre, and as a result, I had never seen a packer game where number 4 wasn't on the field at quarterback. Favre never missed a game, so seeing him get traded to the Jets and have this guy who I had never heard of take his place, I wasn't very happy about it. I always thought I'd be a Favre fan, until he left to play for Minnesota. Since then, it's been Team Rodgers and his career's been great so far. He has people hate on him because he acts like he's smarter than everybody else and because of the drama he has with his family. There are also people who think he's overrated because he only has 1 super bowl, which is dumb because Aaron keeps the packers in the game. The packers with 12 and the packers without him are night and day. He is the real difference maker on the football field, but he isn't a god. He regularly puts the team in a position to win only for the defense to come in with an empty tank and let the win slip through their hands. In close games, whether or not the packers win is whether or not the offense or the defense is on the field in the last 2 minutes. If you give AR12 a minute and a half (or even less) to drive down the field and win the game, he usually does it.

As a Cowboys fan, that hit by Heath was great and I know it's a split second thing, but I look back and see that football hanging out there in Rodgers' hand. If Heath had just ripped that arm down it's a fumble. Those are the plays Demarcus Ware made a career highlight film making. And yes it was an unbelievable pass by Rodgers to set up that game winning kick, but I'm still proud that Dallas climbed all the way back to tie it up. One more thing... Dez caught it.

Aaron Rodgers and Marshawn Lynch were team mates in college. In 2004 they took Berkeley (University of California/aka: Cal) to the #4 ranking team in college only loosing to eventual #1 USC by six points which would have made Cal #1 perhaps baring any "additional" ranking politics which always favors the bigger football programs like USC and Texas (we won't get into THAT mess). However, Aaron in his time in Berkeley broke several NCAA records at the QB position.
As somebody who grew up in Berkeley and going to Cal football games And as a San Francisco 49ers fan I was pissed that the 49ers didn't draft Aaron who also grew up a 49ers fan, he was the second coming of a Joe Montana and Steve Young put together.
But hey Alex Smith gave us a couple good years but imaging if Aaron became a 49er.

People didn't like Rodgers at first because as Packer's fans we all loved Brett Favre. But it would've been the same way with anyone who replaced Favre. After he won the super bowl everyone had come around and now we all love him. You should watch him on the Pat Macafee show if you want to get a sense of who he is as a person. Fun fact: Green Bay is the smallest city in North America with a professional sports team (just over 100k population), yet has one of the biggest stadiums in all of global professional sports (holds over 80k) and has sold out every game for the last 60 years. If you want season tickets for the Packers, get on the list and get ready to wait 30 years until your name comes up.
