Thanks Lee, just downloaded the Fix App, and to answer your question do I know some reason not to use the app, the answer is yes, Remember if you're freely using something that you didn't pay for than you are the product!, they have a certain amount of yur bio data, but if you have ever used google then they already have it anyway. I believe that these guys are using us subscribers to flush out their database, tools, appliances, repair services, etc, then they then sell info to interested commercial customers, so yeah we're free data managers for their data services. Ill run a security review on what they get access to on the phone and what permissions we give them to have access to Fix and make sure they're not accessing any photos, emails or contacts that they aren't entitled to. thanks again for the heads up

I’ve never been spammed by them and have never seen any other unrecognized commercial emails, and I’ve been on the app for several years now. I just downloaded the app. Don't know if it does this as well, but recording serial numbers is IMPORTANT in case of theft. I had my whole tool supply pilfered out of my truck right in front of my office. The police were no help really, but they said if I had the serial numbers, they ping the pawn shops for those numbers and might recover something. Of course I didn't have a single one. One thing they told me is that pawn shops will not take tools with a missing or altered serial number and they are required by law to keep a database of all their throughput. Pawn shops require a license here in Texas and they're not risking their license fencing stolen stuff. I've since replaced the tools but I engraved my phone number on every one, including the batteries, and took a photo of the serial number and uploaded that to my google drive for recovery.
