Hi, I just used the original fan connector cable as an adapter between the motherboard fan ports and the fans. It´s a 4 pin cable so it was no big deal to re use it and plug it in between.
i had the same thoughts but no other idea to keep the original style as much as possible. But what should i say.... the system ist still running without any issues ;) there is enought space for the air to flow from the front through the PSU.
I cut the mini SAS connector off and solder the tiny wires of the two first HDD connectors to a regular SATA connector. It works. I found no adapters on the market for this so it was my only option.

Habe bereits einen Build mit einem G4 Gehäuse gemacht und möchte das neu gelernte im nächsten Build umsetzten. Nun hat der MacPro diese Festplatteneinschübe. In Deinem Video habe ich gesehen, dass Du diese ebenfalls ausgetauscht hast. Leider finde ich nirgends wie diese Heissen, geschweige denn wo ich solche Stecker zum anschrauben finde. Könntest Du mir sagen wie diese heissen oder wo ich solche finde? Besten Dank.
Hi, habe leider auch nichts passendes finden können und letztendlich die MacPro SAS Kabel bzw. Anschlüsse abgetrennt und an handelsübliche SATA + 12V Anschlüsse gelötet. War schon recht funneling aber es hat auf Anhieb funktioniert.

no problem because its designed like a wind tunnel. The front fan will suck in,through the CPU cooler and then through the exhaust fand to the outside. The othe rcomponents will be not affected by the CPU heat. One downside ist that the heat of the GPU will be not so easy sucked out of the case like in a traditional PC case, but i saw no issues with overheating so far.
Hi, good question. The Fenvi is a Broadcom card which will be supported 100% out of the box from MacOS. The intel based wifi/bt from the Mainboard not, but the hackintosh community is very close to getting it completely usable. Than i will also remove the fenvi for a cleaner system.

Prinzipiell je kleiner das Board desto besser passt es, bzw. umso weniger muss man anpassen. Das Vision D hat eine Standard ATX Höhe, so dass ich die Platte unterhalb vom Netzteil bearbeiten musste. Mit einem kürzeren Board kann man sich das sparen.

Nice setup, exelllent video, i have similar conf. with z490 vision d, intel i7 10700k, dark rock pro 4 and 32 gb ram. Im trying to hackintosh it for month and with no success. I managed to install catalina, but my monitor always cycling trough hdmi-dp-vga, i see picture for few second when is on hdmi, but then he start to cycle again. I dont have dgpu only intels 630 Can you tell me your motherboard bios version, and maybe share your EFI? much thx
Ich habe viele Mac Pro mod videos gesehen, deins war die einzige die den meisten internen Strukturen wie quick swap Festplattenhalterungen, Luftkanälen und erhaltener original Rück- und Frontplatte treu geblieben ist (kein Nachrüsten von irgendein alte PC-Platte) sehr toll!! Sehr clever mit dem modifizierten RAM cage :) Wo hast du die SATA extensions gefunden?
Ich danke dir für deinen Kommentar. Die SATA-Extensions habe ich mir selbst umgelötet (die originalen MacPro SAS Stecker auf SATA Kabel + 12V ATX) da ich leider nichts vergleichbares zum erwerben finden konnte.

Die Idee ist ja ganz nett, aber untalentiert und technisch unversiert Umgesetzt... Wenn der Formfaktor BTX ist, weiß ich nicht, warum es in manche Menschen nicht reingeht, dass ATX nun mal nicht ohne weitere Anpassungen funktioniert... Zumal der Airflow im Apple Gehäuse ohne die orginale Lüftungsführung definitiv nicht auf ATX optimiert ist! Sicher, im Video wurde versucht sich möglichst an das Orginal zu halten, aber ich denke, es gibt einen Grund dafür, warum die CPUs nicht in dem offenen Bereich sitzen... Weiter im Text: Die mit Kleister zugeschissenen USB Ports sind echt die Krönung... wie gesagt, die Idee das Ding zu modernisieren mag im Auge des Betrachters sinnvoll oder unsinnig sein, aber das ist eifach nur handwerklich schlecht gemacht! BTW: was macht man eigentlich, wenn das Netzteil mal abfackelt? Mein Fazit: mit dem orginalen Apple Innenleben, kann man den MacPro als eine Art Wertanlage betrachen, für den Sammler halt zum Teil jetzt schon enorme Preise ausgeben. Und nach dem "Umbau" hat man da jetzt eigentlich den üblichen Stangenmüll mit dem selben Wertverlust wie überall, in 5 Jahren nur noch Elektroschrott... Der Vergleich: Wenn man einen Opel, Mercedes, BMW Oltimer hat, setzt man da aus guten Grund keinen neuen Motor rein, obwohl der vlt. effizienter ist, sondern man versucht die Karre (auch als Wertanlage) möglichst im orginalzusatnd zu behalten... Nice work. Right now Im with the process to build my own. Question. How is your power supply holding up, since you did not cut out hole for the fans on the bottom of the top self ? I asking cos I have a dilemma to make a whole new top self, or cut hole on the original for the PSU... I decided to throw the original air tunel idea since there is nothing to cool on that way,. So Im goin with the full front fan holder mod. Like ;)
Thank you. There is a 2 - 3cm gap between the case and the PSU fan for air induction 04:59 . The air will be sucked from the front and exhausted though the back of teh case. The PSU will hold by the original PSU case. It´s mounted with spacers and washers to it.

Wie hast du den Netzteil Kaltgeräteanschluss mit dem anderen Kabel versehen? Wenn ich versuche dort ein Kaltgerätekabel dran zu löten schmilzt der Anschluss, weil beim originalen so viel Lötzinn drauf ist.
Ich bin mir nicht 100%ig sicher aber ich glaube ich habe die Stecker incl. kurzem Stück Leitung abgetrennt und diese dann mit einander verlötet. An dem Stecker/Buchse selbst habe ich nicht gelötet

Hey, Timeline scrubbing in Final Cut Pro with Files from my A6400 ist very smooth. Only the rendering could be quicker but this will change until i install a dedicated GPU. But for now I can work good with the intel embedded UHD630 solution
How is this motherboard working for you. It pretty much all sold out but there are lots of “G” versions available. Is it worth it and would you recommend this board for a hackintosh ? Or is there another board you would rather recommend ?
Great job. I know how hard a lot of this is as I did my own first mod using stuff from laserhive. Had to clip out the front controls with power button etc which broke my heart a bit. Do love that power button :) Great job! How easy was it getting the 10900k all hackintoshed? What is performance like?

I managed to find an adapter called the Corsair Carbide Air 540 Hot Swap Connector CC-8930148. apparently the fit is very close. decided to give that one a shot instead. Can you share a bit more about the wiring for the internal speakers and the headphone jack? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm having a hard time finding good information out there, and you have the nicest build I've seen!
Thank you. The PSU has enough room for ventilation from the front to the back of the case. Sure it´s not the best way but i see no issues so far. Temps and Fan speed are quite low.
@@Tech-SW maybe you could flip the psu downwards and cut a hole for the fan into the shelf it's sitting on. That way it could get plenty of air from the whole pc.

@@soundsupport aus dem besagten Grund würde ich zu einem MacPro 1.1 - 5.1 greifen. Sieht dann aufgeräumter aus und gibt eine größere Auswahl an Netzteilen.

how did you do the original front fan mounting unit cable to the motherboard? i'm modding my mac pro 1.1 case but cant find a solution for that still, or do i need the original parts form the apple motherboard to make a cable out of those plugs? any advise or tips would be very helpful love the way your build came out so nice looking
Hi and thank you for your comment. For this i only used parts and cables from the mac pro 1.1.There are one or more cables in the original system which can be used to connect to the fan mounting unit. You just have to add two of the typical 4 pin fan connectors on the other wire ends to make it conactable to your motherboard

@@silly8395 Dann ist das wohl falsch im Angebot angegeben worden. Denn der 10900k ist kein Cascade Lake. Bezüglich 2,5gb lan schau mal am besten im Hackintosh-Forum nach. da sirrst du schnell eine Lösung finden auch mein build und EFI

No, I had to modify the original wires wirh standard Sata connectors
Sav similar conversion with atx board and modified wires, only issue that two of them not fixed properly due to board size

Nice work. Right now Im with the process to build my own. Question. How is your power supply holding up, since you did not cut out hole for the fans on the bottom of the top self ? I asking cos I have a dilemma to make a whole new top self, or cut hole on the original for the PSU... I decided to throw the original air tunel idea since there is nothing to cool on that way,. So Im goin with the full front fan holder mod. Like ;)
Thank you. There is a 2 - 3cm gap between the case and the PSU fan for air induction 04:59 . The air will be sucked from the front and exhausted though the back of teh case. The PSU will hold by the original PSU case. It´s mounted with spacers and washers to it.

Wie hast du den Netzteil Kaltgeräteanschluss mit dem anderen Kabel versehen? Wenn ich versuche dort ein Kaltgerätekabel dran zu löten schmilzt der Anschluss, weil beim originalen so viel Lötzinn drauf ist.
Ich bin mir nicht 100%ig sicher aber ich glaube ich habe die Stecker incl. kurzem Stück Leitung abgetrennt und diese dann mit einander verlötet. An dem Stecker/Buchse selbst habe ich nicht gelötet

I just look at Ninjia 5 cooler's spec, it doesn't mention LGA 1200. Could you explain a bit more the compatibility of the cooler to LGA 1200 socket? Any modification have you done? Thanks

Hey, Timeline scrubbing in Final Cut Pro with Files from my A6400 ist very smooth. Only the rendering could be quicker but this will change until i install a dedicated GPU. But for now I can work good with the intel embedded UHD630 solution
How is this motherboard working for you. It pretty much all sold out but there are lots of “G” versions available. Is it worth it and would you recommend this board for a hackintosh ? Or is there another board you would rather recommend ?
I would say, if you don’t Need the extra Features of the Vision D, take the G. This is also very good compatible.
Great job. I know how hard a lot of this is as I did my own first mod using stuff from laserhive. Had to clip out the front controls with power button etc which broke my heart a bit. Do love that power button :) Great job! How easy was it getting the 10900k all hackintoshed? What is performance like?

@@Tech-SW ah, thanks so much for the info! I managed to find an adapter called the Corsair Carbide Air 540 Hot Swap Connector CC-8930148. apparently the fit is very close. decided to give that one a shot instead.

Thank you. The PSU has enough room for ventilation from the front to the back of the case. Sure it´s not the best way but i see no issues so far. Temps and Fan speed are quite low.
@@Tech-SW maybe you could flip the psu downwards and cut a hole for the fan into the shelf it's sitting on. That way it could get plenty of air from the whole pc.

@@soundsupport aus dem besagten Grund würde ich zu einem MacPro 1.1 - 5.1 greifen. Sieht dann aufgeräumter aus und gibt eine größere Auswahl an Netzteilen.

how did you do the original front fan mounting unit cable to the motherboard? i'm modding my mac pro 1.1 case but cant find a solution for that still, or do i need the original parts form the apple motherboard to make a cable out of those plugs? any advise or tips would be very helpful love the way your build came out so nice looking
Hi and thank you for your comment. For this i only used parts and cables from the mac pro 1.1.There are one or more cables in the original system which can be used to connect to the fan mounting unit. You just have to add two of the typical 4 pin fan connectors on the other wire ends to make it conactable to your motherboard

@@silly8395 Dann ist das wohl falsch im Angebot angegeben worden. Denn der 10900k ist kein Cascade Lake. Bezüglich 2,5gb lan schau mal am besten im Hackintosh-Forum nach. da sirrst du schnell eine Lösung finden auch mein build und EFI
