On the make time for them, thank you again for finding time to meet up with me in California, it was a blessing! Questions of the Day for me would either be either when they arrived for the Mayflower, or signing of the Declaration. (History nerd here).
My favorite is #1 (all 5 number 1s)! :) Organizing - underrated but so needed. Cleaned our youth room over the holiday break and found supplies I didn't know we had! (Took over the role 18 months ago.) Question of the Day - always fascinated by WWII history and the JFK assassination, so I'd either pick the D-Day invasion or Kennedy's assassination (to see if there were multiple shooters!)
Question of the Day : I currently Pastor middle Schoolers / high Schoolers and I know you've mentioned in many of your videos before the power of separating the two and giving each group separate messages / experiences. We don't have the biggest room in the world and currently meet on Sundays. How do you split up the two in an effective way in your ministry and what would you recommend we do for instance do you meet on different days or separate them to be in different sides of the room etc. ? FYI : Many of the high schoolers have mentioned to us this year how they would love their own service but want us to kick out the Middle Schoolers haha... so trying to find the balance in all of this.
Hi Jorge! Thank you for watching & commenting...great question! We meet on different nights of the week (middle school on Tuesday / high school on Wednesday) so that each age group is separated and also have access to everything. Some youth ministries will split up their group but still do everything on the same day/time but rotate who is using what area of the church. I don't know if you will have the right set up for this option, but essentially it would look like: middle school starts with a game outside or in a different part of the church while the high school is doing the message...then high school moves to small group time while the middle schoolers are getting the message for them....then high school moves to playing a game while middle school is doing small groups...you get the idea. I think each scenario will present different problems/solutions so you will have to figure out what works best for you. I think the best option would be doing different days if that's feasible, but it will involve more work for you...I feel the benefits outweigh the costs for the health and growth of your ministry. I hope that helps! Here is an episode we did on practical ways of splitting if you haven't already seen it: ua-cam.com/video/38YG2mbNZGM/v-deo.html

Finding supplies that you didn't know you had is like finding youth ministry gold :)

❓QUESTION OF THE DAY: What non-Biblical event would you love to have been a witness to?❓
