I love how they were telling each other to "sing" - really showed how they supported each other. Its a shame they didn't stay together because I think vocally they are one of the strongest female groups of the 90's, where each and everyone of them could actually "sing".
Ever since I heard the song "Tonight" I knew Tamika Scott was the one. Her tone is powerful and clear. Tocha's voice is powerful yet light enough to bounce around all over the place (in a good way). Kandi's voice is pretty solid for the most part... with a few tricks every now & then. Tiny has an "around the way" voice...that one girl around the neighborhood that can sing for no reason. She just be singing. Together they sound amazing... especially on "Tonight"

Tocha has a great voice, but she do entirely too much ALL THE TIME! I’m the same age as these women & have been a fan since they 1st came out. It wasn’t Tocha who’s voice we recognized when u heard a new Xscape record. It was Kandi’s voice that stood out that made u say “Oh, this is Xscape’s new song”. Her voice was recognizable bcuz it was distinctive & different than any other artist from that era. Kandi & T-boz had one of a kind sounding voices.
TAMIKA DID SAY SHE DIDN'T REALLY CARE MUCH TO SING LEAD AND THAT SHE WAS CONTENT WITH SINGING THE HARMONIES AS LONG AS SHE WAS GETTING PAID. SHE'S EASILY ONE OF THE MOST UNDER UTILIZED VOICES IN r&B and I've always thought she had the best vocals in the group.
There is not one female R&B group of ANY generation that could SANG with XSCAPE. BAR NONE!!!! LEGENDARY & ICONIC VOICES!!!… DIRECTOR LOOSE SKREWZ 4 LIFE
They have the best harmonies out of any female group to me! They all have unique voices and Kandi lower register blends in just perfect! They’re better as a group

Ironically I love Kandi and Tameka the best vocally and they had the most beef. Tiny has the best personality and accent while I use to think Latocha was the prettiest. I think I just use to love Tocha's make up and facial expressions. I hope they go on tour.

And man Tameka is deffo the best vocalist most controlled vocals of the group Tocha over does it for me sometimes but she was fine in this performance. Tinys tone and richness also gets me on this song aswell as on do you want to.
Anyone who can sing deep could replace Kandi imo, the girl who replaced her was only there because another girl who did sing deep wasn't able to join the group for good and had to be replaced by the one who could.
