Same, trying to Lucio main in solo queue I get teammates that wipe the floor with the enemy or can’t make it out of the spawn room. If you get a bad team comp on support there’s only so much you can do to help them.

Gears of War did that. You were quite literally given ranked points based on performance and you would lose less if you performed well on a losing team. It was quite literally the best ranked system multiplayer has ever seen.

For some reason, out of the gate I was placed in bronze after my fist placement in OW2. I was Plat in OW1. Took 14 wins and I’m back to mid gold, but not sure how or why the ranked system determined that.

There are A LOT of boosted players right now. And by design, you can be paired with 3 skill tiers if you are from bronze-diamond. It's wild the skill diff between a lot of the Overwatch community right now in comp.
My main issue currently, as a tank main, is waiting for 7-9 minutes for a game, carrying said game then loosing because of a dps who has half to 25% of my kills/damage, then having to reque for that same experience. On top of that NONE of my stats tracking from the previous 20 or so hours that ive played.

Like a lot to people I've grinded 7 wins over and over just to get the same rank every time. It doesn't matter it I carry or not. If I win every match or go 7-10, I still get the same rank. Something needs to change.
Was masters in OW1. Got placed plat 4 after insane lose streak, then proceeded to lose even more games and demoted to gold 1. I’ve been grinding and managed to get up to diamond 3 after about a week. The elo hell/match making in this game is horrendous. Sometimes my team will have plat 1s and the enemy will have d1 players who are t500/high masters on their other roles. My win rate is probably around 55-60% atm but it is actual pain playing in some of these games. Hopefully the ranks adjust soon and people get into more balanced games. If ranked stays like this people in the lower ranks will have absolutely 0 fun.

A trash dps can easily climb the ranks if his team are full of good healers and tanks. In other words the ranking system is fucked, they need to let people rank up not by how many wins but how well you do as an individual. That would put you in a team with the same skill level as you instead of being paired with that one guy who is playing with his feet.
This game is basically ow 1.5. ranked had always been messed up. You can't have a ranked system that's also factors in previous ranks earned and compares you to others on the character your playing. Ftp floods the count and alters the ranking as well.
yep, rank is dogshit. DPS is the one role that is heavily boosted. Supports and tanks carry games, and the dps just gets a free ride, up until the point where their shittiness ruins the game for their team.
They really nust need to make the system look at the stats of a player at the end of their games for ranking. There should be an average for all the stats for each character and role that is expected from a player of the rank they are in. If they exceed the stats expected they should gain rank up points and if they majorly exceed those stats they should gain a high ammount of rank up points. I feel like that would make ranking easier and more fair because they have the analytics for making average player stats per rank, role, and character since they can see all matches played in a game and how players preformed.

I quit OW2 coz as a solo queue supp I noticed this trend of getting teams that couldn’t do anything getting wiped hard. Uninstalled that and won’t come back until they fix match making.
i went into flats chat yesterday talking bout an experiment i did. all the simps for OW2 in his chat lost they shit. so the experiment i did and proven right. when your solo queuing and you get your new fresh set of 7 games to rank up. the first game, you get a great team. like you can just afk and they will carry great. but as you progress thru your wins. the game actively begin to derank you by purposely giving you worse and worse teammates. i tested this theory thur 2 full sets of 7 wins. and thru both. as solo que in the first set the teams started good and got steadily worse. 2nd set started great got bad got a random good team then crap teams again for next 7 games in a row. they are actively punishing players for solo queuing by giving them far underperforming teammates as solo que. this rank system needs a total rework or i and many others im sure will quit this game. its current comp scene i dont believe belongs anywhere near Esports.
The whole competitive system is broken. today i played against a kid that was low silver and he played widow like it was masters and we couldn't do anything about it.
I got placed bronze 4, I deranked to bronze 5 after first set of 7 wins. My next set I went back up to bronze 4. Then I won 7 out of my next 9 games, and got demoted back to bronze 5. I have since had 4 ranked updates 7-5, 7-2, 7-4, 7-6 and I am still in bronze 5. How is it possible to derank from 7 wins and 2 losses. I’m literally 28-17 since I got demoted to bronze 5 from bronze 4. Where I got demoted for going 7 wins 2 losses. It’s broken.

Winstreak don't mean anything anymore. Your performance is way more important than winning. You can rank up with 7-5 or 7-4 while you can stay the same rank when you go 7-1.
Everything before diamond is based mostly on individual performance, doesn't matter if you win 10 games in a row if you're playing like a gold player you're gonna stay gold, diamond and up on the other hand is based on wins

Average Gold player here. Sometimes toe the line into Plat on tank. Placed Bronze 2 on DPS, Bronze 3 on heals... just feels bad. Either I got really shitty or it's all try-hards in comp right now

Previous diamond player here who is now for some reason in bronze rank and i always do best in the lobby with highest stats bullying kids. Rank system is broken for sure. And sorry to all those that come across me in bronze lobbies

OW ranking has always been so fucking annoying, there is no way you can actually climb doing better, you genuinely need to carry the team to win if you wanna rank high.... It's a game that seriously is based on how well your teammates do, if even one person decides to pick the wrong character and the other team is competent then you are losing 9 times out of 10....
Its literally busted, as a healer I was the best healer per match (on both teams) until I got my rank. I was even out dueling some dps mains. Damage was good and healing was ELITE. What was my initial rank? Bronze 4. I then won 21 out of 26 games with a streak of 14 in a row to crawl my way up to silver 3. Absolutely broken.
🌹stopped in for the video , keep doing you. The system is pretty messed up right now. A lot of people could say get good as the answer, but fact is the good is even getting stuck hard. Its hard too because if you solo que at least seems to me , that either you railroad a team or you get railroaded. From some small caculations and ton of matches support wise i'm pretty much in limbo. which i can accept a little bit but also same time it's very hard to accept it when I think I should be a bit higher by now😐
I love the rank system used to be grandmaster 4200 approx., it placed me in silver after placements and I get 70 kills per game, and it takes forever to go through this stuff.
I agree with Tim on this one. Mechanical skills shouls not be the main metric(kills/dmg/heals/etc). It seems that is all they can measure in this game. pethetic for a next-gen game for a company that does this for a living.
Ranked is most definitely 100% guaranteed broken. I'm not the best player out there but I ranked Diamond in OW1. After my first 7 wins I got placed Bronze 5 in both DPS and Tank. Again, I know my limits, I'm not claiming to amazing. However, there is no fucking way in hell I'm among the literal worst bunch of players. Later on I reranked both DPS and Tank after 7 wins and went up Silver 5. Since then, I keep same rank every time I get 7 wins.
The Rank was broken in OW1 already. My first acount could not climb out of gold, because in high gold i lost 200+ SR when losing and got only at most 20 SR Points on a win. I think it was basing the SR gane in parts on your hiden mmr and draging you sr to you hiden mmr. And i played 10000 "fun" quickplay matches with freinds on that account. I lost that account becoming super toxic because of that. My second account i played only 25 QP matches and then got in to ranked, placet low Platinum and ranked with high sr gains to high Diamond in under a week. And in owerwatch 2 ther seems to be a mass of players 5 stacking around a cheater in they stack to rank up.
Oh it's broken alright. I've started asking everyone what rank they think the lobby is when we get in game. The most diverse I've gotten yet was our team with a silver, gold, diamond and gm duo. vs 2 plats a diamond and master duo. I've had games where I've played with ppl that were top 500 recently as well so it's all over the place lol.

Honestly the ranking system is chalked! I have completed 3 cards and went 7/10, 7/9, and 7/14 and I am still gold one! All the games we lost were in Overtime. The games we won we steam rolled teams. No point in playing this game if your not reward for the #TimeIn

Very controversial topic, I am top 100 on every role and everyone has to understand the Sr system is still a thing, it it hidden and everytime you win a game you gain sr, lose a game lose sr, at the end of the 7 wins wherever your sr is at will be your rank, you stayed the same so it's obvious you were trading win/loss every game or got on a win streak then losing streak, a lot of people complain and I understand there are people who get ranked a lot lower than there skill tier or where they think there skill tier should be, but at the end of the day there isn't a "matchmaking bug" or any problem with it besides MAYBE the first time you finish placements, I've had 2 alternate accounts which I've gone Diamond 5 to top 100 tank smurfing on them, once again the people who are experiencing this "bug" are hard stuck and it's a skill issue sorry to give the honest truth!

I had a silver 3 game yesterday with a GM, Masters player, 3 plats, 2 golds, all from OW1 and 3 people brand new to the game. So yes I’m boycotting till they fix it.
im plat and got placed mf bronze 5 and climbing my way up. literally didn't lose a game and dropped 40+ between hanzo reaper 76 and mei max 10 deaths. don't make any sense

My wife won 6 out of seven games, she lost 2 ranks. She lost 7 games in a row. Gained ranks.
Rankings is broken I won 7 games in a row and ranked bronze 5 won 7 lost 4 with another main and placed silver

Winstreak don't mean anything anymore. Your performance is way more important than winning. You can rank up with 7-5 or 7-4 while you can stay the same rank when you go 7-1.
what if u won vs low elo and didnt get that much sr?
Everything before diamond is based mostly on individual performance, doesn't matter if you win 10 games in a row if you're playing like a gold player you're gonna stay gold, diamond and up on the other hand is based on wins

Average Gold player here. Sometimes toe the line into Plat on tank. Placed Bronze 2 on DPS, Bronze 3 on heals... just feels bad. Either I got really shitty or it's all try-hards in comp right now

overwatch competitive is a mess for me right now. i'm on console, im like gold 4 in support and the games are horrid. People tilt and stop playing almost every game, seems like I either roll the other team or we get smoked, there's no in between. lol..
Previous diamond player here who is now for some reason in bronze rank and i always do best in the lobby with highest stats bullying kids. Rank system is broken for sure. And sorry to all those that come across me in bronze lobbies
It’s definitely broken.. I was never in bronze in OW. Played with multiple people who got placed plat. Got put in bronze 5. Won almost every game after that and didn’t move in rank. Pretty disappointed

I've been stuck in Bronze 5 as a support main solo queueing and it's the pain on nightmares lol. Either I get a team who knows what they are doing and we just wreck the other team or I get a team who couldn't shoot their way our a wet paper bag on the side of the road... I'm not saying I'm freaking Diamond but jeez!! I was at least high gold for the longest in OV1 and I'm averaging 15/25/4 and 15k healing as Moira lol, like what more can I freaking do ?!?!?!🤣🤣🤣🤣
OW ranking has always been so fucking annoying, there is no way you can actually climb doing better, you genuinely need to carry the team to win if you wanna rank high.... It's a game that seriously is based on how well your teammates do, if even one person decides to pick the wrong character and the other team is competent then you are losing 9 times out of 10....

Its literally busted, as a healer I was the best healer per match (on both teams) until I got my rank. I was even out dueling some dps mains. Damage was good and healing was ELITE. What was my initial rank? Bronze 4. I then won 21 out of 26 games with a streak of 14 in a row to crawl my way up to silver 3. Absolutely broken.
🌹stopped in for the video , keep doing you. The system is pretty messed up right now. A lot of people could say get good as the answer, but fact is the good is even getting stuck hard. Its hard too because if you solo que at least seems to me , that either you railroad a team or you get railroaded. From some small caculations and ton of matches support wise i'm pretty much in limbo. which i can accept a little bit but also same time it's very hard to accept it when I think I should be a bit higher by now😐
I love the rank system used to be grandmaster 4200 approx., it placed me in silver after placements and I get 70 kills per game, and it takes forever to go through this stuff.

I agree with Tim on this one. Mechanical skills shouls not be the main metric(kills/dmg/heals/etc). It seems that is all they can measure in this game. pethetic for a next-gen game for a company that does this for a living.

Ranked is most definitely 100% guaranteed broken. I'm not the best player out there but I ranked Diamond in OW1. After my first 7 wins I got placed Bronze 5 in both DPS and Tank.
Again, I know my limits, I'm not claiming to amazing. However, there is no fucking way in hell I'm among the literal worst bunch of players.
Later on I reranked both DPS and Tank after 7 wins and went up Silver 5. Since then, I keep same rank every time I get 7 wins.
The Rank was broken in OW1 already. My first acount could not climb out of gold, because in high gold i lost 200+ SR when losing and got only at most 20 SR Points on a win. I think it was basing the SR gane in parts on your hiden mmr and draging you sr to you hiden mmr. And i played 10000 "fun" quickplay matches with freinds on that account. I lost that account becoming super toxic because of that. My second account i played only 25 QP matches and then got in to ranked, placet low Platinum and ranked with high sr gains to high Diamond in under a week. And in owerwatch 2 ther seems to be a mass of players 5 stacking around a cheater in they stack to rank up.

Oh it's broken alright. I've started asking everyone what rank they think the lobby is when we get in game. The most diverse I've gotten yet was our team with a silver, gold, diamond and gm duo. vs 2 plats a diamond and master duo. I've had games where I've played with ppl that were top 500 recently as well so it's all over the place lol.

so 14500 vs 15000 sounds legit Blizzard would say its balanced. let me guess team 2 won?

Honestly the ranking system is chalked! I have completed 3 cards and went 7/10, 7/9, and 7/14 and I am still gold one! All the games we lost were in Overtime. The games we won we steam rolled teams. No point in playing this game if your not reward for the #TimeIn
If the rank system actually worked you wouldn’t be steamrolling that much. I played in gold and plat and I genuinely don’t see the difference in players
@@ghostirq that’s what I am getting at games that we barely win or lose in Overtime are players around the same rank. Then the next game it’s like we playing players a whole tier lower then us. Then is no benefit to winning, there is no benefit to high damage, kills with low deaths. The ranked system doesn’t make any sense. It is the same garbage of people being placed and next season they will stay in the same ranks. That’s why all the top 500’s and grand masters from OW1 are no longer there and now in gold

The rankings make no sense it should be if you win 7 before you lose 7 you should go up in rank i think. I won 7 games over and over and didn’t go up in rank once then today i won 7 and lost 2 games yet went down like this makes no sense
Very controversial topic, I am top 100 on every role and everyone has to understand the Sr system is still a thing, it it hidden and everytime you win a game you gain sr, lose a game lose sr, at the end of the 7 wins wherever your sr is at will be your rank, you stayed the same so it's obvious you were trading win/loss every game or got on a win streak then losing streak, a lot of people complain and I understand there are people who get ranked a lot lower than there skill tier or where they think there skill tier should be, but at the end of the day there isn't a "matchmaking bug" or any problem with it besides MAYBE the first time you finish placements, I've had 2 alternate accounts which I've gone Diamond 5 to top 100 tank smurfing on them, once again the people who are experiencing this "bug" are hard stuck and it's a skill issue sorry to give the honest truth!
The ranking system has never made sense in OW lmao. Remember when all those gold/plat players suddenly skyrocketed to top500 on Brigitte with a few weeks because she was so broken? Or when Mercy moth-meta was overwhelmingly broken? Or when GOATS was broken and every tank player dunked on DPS players? I could go on.
Blizzard is incapable of making a fair ranking system.
I've experienced similar. I'm seeing way more skilled people in Bronze that I saw in silver, high silver and low.
