BYU spent the whole second half trying and failing to get the run game going instead of building the lead. We got bailed out by turnovers again today
Nah. We spent the whole half trying to do unnecessary deep passes. Should have just kept running it and doing short passes. Would have wasted so much more clock.
@@robbhays8077 The deep passes only happened because we kept ending up with 3rd down with 8+ yards to go because we ran it for 0 yards to two previous plays lol
In my opinion we gotta get rid of our offensive coordinator. The play calling has been horrific these last 2 years!

I think BYU played well against a formidable Texas Tech. BYU has to prove they belong. If they lose they will prove they do not belong but if they win they prove that they do belong. But not if they lose. In this game, as in life, it is win or go home. You have to move the goalposts. (Not in life. In football.) In life, you have to move the sod before it dries out. Just like in football, where you have "protect your turf." The other team is hungry. But are you hungry enough to win? This is what football coaches must ask these young players: are you hungry enough to win or are you just going to stand there eating sod all day? The players must respond: yes, coach. Not "yes" we are going to eat the delicious sod but "yes" we have a hunger to wear the victory hat. But the real question is: what is next for these young sod eaters?
@@J29-u8u Everything now is artificial turf. No one plays on 'grass' sod with soil underneath.

Of course I've been to BYU. I've spent more time on BYU's football field than most of the players. It's real grass, man-child.

Go cougs! BUT, I don't like this video. This is supposed to be highlights--a story being told. It is boring to ONLY see positive BYU plays when I want to see what happened in this game. Somehow TTU got 2 touchdowns, but no highlights of those? If I'd like to know/observe what BYU needs to work on, this doesn't help me. See the problem?

Well, at least the Red Raiders made it clear from the start: "we don't tackle." Gee, that's been no surprise to anyone watching this season. They just managed to make it far more obvious, far sooner than in any other game. Kind of refreshing: "Let's not make this a mystery - we simply don't believe in Good Football Fundamentals. That's how we're coached, that's how we play."
Wow. The Texas Tech Defense splits their team nickname "Misses First Tackle" with "Missed Other Tackles". I wonder how many missed tackles the Tech coaching staff wants on any single play? Are there awards for Most Missed Tackles? This might be a good name to use for that nomination, but I suspect Tech coaches have been successful long before in teaching players how to refuse to tackle. "We only bump, or wave bye bye."
Do the Red Raider coaches teach "refusal to hang onto the ball"? They are achieving that lofty goal. What an odd skill to develop, though.

I’m sorry but our offensive coordinator has got to go. The only reason why our run game hasn’t take off is because of his play calling. We got true DAWGGSSS in the backfield. The coaching staff doesn’t know how to use them.

@@lylestavast7652 it’s just astonishing to me that he may very well have finished out his career at Weber, which is just crazy to think. Glad Jay Hill brought him over. He might find himself in the league someday.

GREAT for them !! I went to San Jacinto Jr. College !! We had a St. John’s Guy ! Walter Berry ! He stayed 2-Years n got our Basketball Program Tuned UP !! Then he transferred ! N on to the N. B. A. !! 👍🏀🏀
@@terryherrera5252 It seems like he’s always been elite, even at Weber. I think, he’s just one of many who just slip through recruiters eyes. It happens way more than people think. (JJ Watt and Clay Matthew’s just to name a couple future HOFs).
Those recruiting trip pleasure girls can be a strong influence.
