The infantry are awesome for this very reason you need to take them seriously, before if you were in a tank you could ignore a BTR or M113 but now that they can have a squad of RPG or LAW wielding infantry in them they are legit threats.
A brutal reminder that just because you're riding around in a massive metal death box does not mean you're invincible (and situational awareness is critical to your survival)
Just finished Eastern Scramble probably my favorite mission I've played in a while very dynamic feeling Great mix of armor and infantry and feels like a real Red Scramble
GHPC is currently single-player only. AI is still a work in progress, and they've been slowly improving and adjusting them. For the majority of my time playing, they do work well.
Spotting tanks at a moderate distance is difficult for me, even with the crew call-outs, much less this kind of duel. I've actually been scared to play the game since the updates because I know I'll never see the infantry before the rpgs hit.
You'll be fine, do your best to be aware of where infantry is and use caution around those areas. 9 times out of 10, you'll out-range them and hit them before they hit you.
When your commander calls out a target, hold the space bar. It'll designate the optic to what the commander sees. Other than that just take things slow and scan your surroundings often and dont get near infantry
Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everyone!

Fear the RPG!

Man those thermals really do poll a difference
I really hope we'll be able to make use of that 50 cal on the tank roof now that infantry has been added
Haven't checked in on it as I'm off doing Combat Mission -- but looks like I need to. All the changes look amazing.
Following this game for a while and it’s looking good. Can you tell me what the AI is like I play mostly single player does it perform realistically?

Grenades. Not sure what a “Granade” is 😂
Here be a good training tool.
nice :)
Can you play as infantry ?
No
They really should add HE now that we have soft targets
HE is already in the game for Soviet and East German tanks, the Abrams wasn't historically deployed with dedicated HE rounds

stay out of law or rpg range

That's part of the realism i guess 😂
