Harris is a Millwall supporter as well as our Highest scoring striker, and manager twice! He bleeds Millwall. Fact is, when the fans turn it hurts twice as much for Neil, they did it at Luton the first time he walked, and after Oxford for drawing! 9 unbeaten and the “Thickos” have got their way again! FFS when he came back last year we had the boo boys saying “it’s a step backwards” Bi polar team Bi polar fans! It’s embarrassing 😞
Nothing to do with fans. He isn't happy with just being a coach. He wants to have more control over signings, contracts, etc, and he's not allowed it. This has been on the cards since the summer.
He's an egoist and can't take criticism either fans or the board. The "thickos" he reffered to were not specified. So we all guessed its the fans. It's about Harris and not the fans.
You are spot on about our legend HOWEVER When we played games against Leeds and Burnley at Home,we resorted to outbattling them with a defensive, negative outlook to smother and stifle them both, and with the crowd involved and appreciating our efforts,we got our /0 wins. HOWEVER, virtually, all our strikers were absent so his options were limited. For the recent game with Sunderland at home, they were all fit and I confidently predicted the attacking 442, that most of us wanted. Instead, he played defensively against a team with 5 regulars out.We go 0/1. with NO Efforts and in the 2nd half, he brought on strikers and we totally dominated thereafter. Oxford? Go there (after Boro won there scoring 6) and leading, comfortably 1/0 at 1/2 time, and bring on our 32-year-old strapped-up striker as a lone striker, and again NO efforts and we draw 1/1.Then home to 16th Coventry and AGAIN one lone striker with a defensive Number "10" behind him and no on-target efforts for a long time as we lose 0/1.
I'm.a Millwall fan and this discussion is just typical pundit waffle. We don't have enough money. We're never going up. We know this. The only thing an investor is interested in is flogging the ground to build flats. We know this. I can't think of anybody who could do.as good a job as Harris, all caveats applying. In any case there's nobody available. Nobody really wants to play for Millwall as the wages are relatively low. Since 1973 I've been watching this club. It may be our passion but it's also our suffering. Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllll
They were the form side outside the top 4 until a couple of weeks ago. Beat Leeds and Burnley. Had won 4 drawn 4 in their last 8 and looked like they mounting a challenge for that 6th spot. Very strange indeed. This could be a wheels off moment. Surely the players will be unsettled by this?
I've been going to the Den since the early 70s. They're my club. It goes without saying you want to see your club win, week in, week out. But in reality you go for the atmosphere, the banter, the rivalry and ultimately the sheer fun of the occasion. It just becomes a way of life. Harris embodies the spirit of the club, going down with a fight. When we win it's fantastic and the beer always tastes much better. Rowett gave us some good seasons and it was steady football. Edwards came in and was in all honesty trying to get cart horses to compete in The Derby. Under Harris I started to enjoy the games again because the Millwall spirit had returned. I don't know who is out there, available to come in and get the best out of our squad. But they have to please the fans and we are difficult to please.
Harris isn't up 2 being a championship manager. His tactics are so out of date and he will never change that style play. We have exciting young players that need game time. Harris instead would play the old guard .
Didnt he do this in 2019 Mid season...... strange ideology, its not like they're adrift in the bottom 3, but I doubt any new manager will galvanize the squad for a play off push.
Justin has got it spot on. The vision that Berylson and the Director of Football have for the club does not align with the way in which Harris wants to work. The new ethos is to buy younger players with high potential to develop and sell for profit. The issue is that Harris does not fancy some of the players that have been brought in by the Director of Football, namely both Langstaff and Ivanovic who were signed for a combined fee of around £3.5m. As much as Harris has ‘stepped down’, the club were never going to offer him an extension to his contract which expires in the summer. It’s a good time for Harris to walk away, as we are in a solid position in the table and it gives a new manager a decent platform to work with.
The board was not happy with his comments. Also the board were not happy at Harris not playing ivanovic and langstaff there top signings. Harris is not happy because he has no control of who comes into the club. Harris would bring in players to the club the first time he was manager..

Deluded trolling comment since Millwall haven't been in the 4th tier of English football since the early 1960s and have mostly been a 2nd tier club throughout their history.
Theres definitely more to it behind the scenes
He was told he had to sell a player that he did not want to, you heard it here first
Esse to Palace probs
Conflict with recruitment side of things FACT 💯
Yeah and this would also suggest they are selling Esse on January, to palace maybe.

Esse might be up for sale and he didn't want that but who knows? We probably wont find out unless someone high up decides to spill the beans.

Crazy! Wonder what has been said behind closed doors? Seems like rhere is a lot more to this
Don't get this, they were doing well until they played us on sat,and there were a few injuries so something fishy here
As a Leeds fan I can't stand Harris or Millwall but I have to admit they're a much tougher prospect when he's there. Weird one that is.

I’m a Millwall fan I don't hate any club or manager.
Still time for Harris to do a "Mick McCarthy", ie walk into a press conference, slam his mug of tea down and snarl, "I'm out of here!"

Wrong. Harris didn’t like the players brought in without his say so.

Xisco Munoz would be perfect fit for them 👍
When you are the "head coach" you never made to make the big decisons.
JAMES BERYLSON OUT
