Nice to be able to see the sensor with the manifold removed, I couldn't tell where it was on my 5.3l Ascender. Now I know where to dig behind the manifold
Oh man 😡 I just changed my oil pressure sensor I didn't remove intake and now my truck doesn't start it will crank but will not start I think I might have either pulled, disconnected a ground by accident and I was looking at my ground on my battery and its original but there is the big thick cable ans a smaller gauge wire thats split so i need to check my wires just kinda hard been cold as balls and windy no shop just outside and been frustrated my truck was working fine before the oil pressure sensor I really hope I can fix this I only have this 1 vehicle right now any input would be appreciated all I disconnected when I replaced oil pressure sensor was that little pig tail on middle right under the vortec plastic it's black and baby blue right by the other flat braided ground anybody know what that's called?
@@PhillipsVision thank you I'll check that first as well I just seen a couple pics of 4.8 5.3s and I seen to the left of the oil pressure sensor is the camshaft position sensor I really appreciate your input ill let you know how it goes
Will this throw a code if it's bad? I'm having low pressure and did the pickup tube, cam thrust plate, and pump but it's still happening.
@@jackwarren9037 no it will not cause a check engine code. The issues it can cause are the oil pressure light coming on or the gauge not working
Should remove and clean or replace the screen thats under the sensor.
Great job thanks for sharing… 👍👍
Do you have a video about this same topic but for a dodge neon 2005?
Yes, here’s the link ua-cam.com/video/hHX9NHF_Byo/v-deo.htmlsi=XNPYIUsBP6LUz0MA

Thanks
It’s a screen in there that needs to be replaced or cleaned as well
My oil pressure is reading 0. With the P0523 code. Can this be the same issue when you are reading high pressure
Thx for being to detail

Right next to the oil pressure sensor is the camshaft position sensor. You may have disconnected that harness. That can cause a no start.

@@chatobalencian1504so there was no issue with you switching it with the intake on you just unplugged something else by accident?
What’s the 1 for infront of the 1/16
1 inch, meaning the socket is 1 and 1/16 inches
Where the little filter thing goes
Below the sensor

It can definitely be the cause
@@PhillipsVision thank you for your reply!
