I used to dislike Doom 3 in my childhood but I completed it recently and realised how wrong I was!
It’s not directly related to the other Dooms but sequels don’t always work out that way. I will say it is an amazing game which has aged very well.
@@SRPC21 oh its a sequel? i thought it was a prequel
The mancubus went through one hell of a weight loss. Good for you buddy.
I am glad for doom eternal they decided to base the new models after the older sprites
Except a few

I love how doom eternal tried capturing the original doom looks while keeping some 2016 aspects
They even kept the old green hair on the zombie man from 1993 onto doom eternal

That thing looks really flimsy
One of the main lines I remember that boss saying was “Welcome to the mess hall, marine.”. Just before he shot a bfg round in your face.
Yo that imp in Doom 1 and Doom 2 was CAKED UP
Doom 3 for some reason makes my primal instincts kick in when I see the revenant. Like the clean white skull it has it's just so ominous the way it looks.
SANS?!
I love how almost every demon no matter how different the art direction is looks amazingly unique

It's like that so it helps you to scan the arena
1:54 the cacodemon design in Doom 3 is really awkward
I love it. Very un-doom looking though

I still love it since gaves me some real nightmare vibes
@@ArufisuIsRuru its meant backwards, they based the movie from doom 3, that is why there's only pinkies and imps as demons in that film and doom 3 had more (and por me the most nightmare fuel is the FUCKING pinkies, jesus fuck)

I think doom 3s cyber demon looks the best. Just this giant hulking monstrosity of flesh and machine with honestly great Sfx. The hell knight I think looks better as well because I love how they sounded and that the whole environment shook with each step they took

I also feel that way about the Cyberdemon. I may be the only one but ya know...
Also, they changed it so it doesn't look like and feel like doom 2016 ya know
The revenant is the one demon I definitely prefered in 2016
Actually looks like an animated corpse
Harry Rappell I’m well aware. I love doom eternal more than 2016 I just think the revenant looks like shit.
I love how the Doom Slayers armour in Eternal strikes the excellent balance between 2016 and original can say that for the games demons as well Eternal was fucking amazing its gonna have to take a lot to improve on that formula should they continue the Doom franchise reboot or otherwise
Love how they knew as well that the Doom 3 hell knight design was great!
Doom³ doomguy looks so malnourished and pale. Hard to believe he was able to keep interdimensional hellspawn at bay without succumbing to a gust of wind.
Barely Awake it was not doom guy... sorry to burst your bubble.
It was just the main character. Very vulnerable to a demon
also thats the expansion pack player character, not the actual main campaign pc
Secondary reminder that doom 3's health and armor mechanics look like the armor is tougher than doomguy, as people have died with 96 to 90 armor on...
@@Plazmatothemax You can't compare the two doomguys in any meaningful way. Doom 3 is survival horror, every other Doom game is an action shooter with horror elements. The MC from Doom 3 would get mulched in any other Doom game simply because he's not built to keep up with the pacing of an action game.
This comment made me manually exhale

They just look so much more Gritty & realistic, & a heck of a lot more terrifying!
But the eternal models actually break apart and show ribs, blood and guys when u shoot them which is waaaay more awesome
@@taann7360 Yeah but we're talking about the models, not the gore system which is unarguably incredible.
The Gore is unarguably incredible in both Games. Not something anyone could ever disagree on, but Model wise I prefer 2016.

I like that design better than the 2016 one tbh. I was never a huge fan of the look of the cyber demon from 2016, he's way too chonk and his head doesn't really fit in with its contemporaries.
Raptormann0205 apparently the cyber- demon in 2016 is some different version I guess, but eternal brought back the original look, just with modifications and new name
@@Raptorman0205 Honestly 2016 Cyber demon looks kinda weird even along side the other 2016 demons. Might be because his design is one of the first created for that game, at least from what i've heard.
