I think this is typical of an experienced master. She chooses an 8 point candle that takes longer to carve but cools faster 😂

you do not show where she is cutting, how can you learn from this?

I have made only a few of these candles, but this makes perfect sense to me. You can see where she has cut by the size and thickness of the elements before she puts them into place.
