DAVIS CYCLE OF EROSION

William Morris Davis was an American Geomorphologist to present general theory of landform development in 1899. The basic goal of Davisian model of geomorphic cycle and general theory of landform development was to provide basis for a systematic description and genetic classification of landforms. According to Davis ‘Geomorphic cycle is a period of time during which an uplifted landmass undergoes its transformation by the process of land sculpture ending into a low feature less plain or Peneplain’.

sir, the way you explaining geography it is remarkable. Sir I am student of BSC by IGNOU and I opt one subject geography. Due to my job I cannot take admission in regular university .Further, Because there will be practical mandatory in Chemistry I opt geography as alternative subject. In IGNOU we have to study own no guide or teacher available. when I started to study geography as i am first time studying geography. I was not able to understand any thing in geography and I was rerate for choosing geography subject. One i was using UA-cam not for purpose of sturdy for entertainment. suddenly one video I seen that was about to FOLD topic of your channel. i seen that video and i understand that topic. However , I was not know what the terminology you used as i do not know geography starting concept. then I watch more video and start watching video as per my book chapter sequence. now geography subject is to much interested for me. simplest way to teaching any topic now I feel confidence in geography subject thanks sir. Please continue share your knowledge for us which cannot go collage thanks sir.

Both lines of upper core and lower curve are mountains or we should imagine Upper curve as a mountain.Please explain

Upper curve is top of the mountain and lower curve is valley floor. Mountain disappears as we move further from stage 1 to stage 3 then upper curve would be average high part of the region and lower curve will represent low part of the region. Residual hills are left at the end.
