Can I just say, Ellie is a total natural with animals! She holds the kitten so gently and knows immediately to speak in soft tones so as not to scare it.

kids these day will throw a tantrum if you get them clothes for their birthday, this kid on the other hand, appreciates what she got.

I have a daughter. I never gave her clothes as gifts, unless she asked for something.
Clothing, and underwear are necessities a parent must provide.
Using them as birthday and Christmas gifts is a cheapskate cop out.

I didn’t permit anyone to use the “too close to Christmas” excuse.
11 months to prepare.
No combination gifts, Christmas & birthday, either.
It isn’t that hard.
Some birthdays I had less money.
I shopped after Christmas sales.

I get what you mean, Alexis, but even when kids are being nice they have their personality showing through. This girl was so soft spoken she's probably generally a well behaved kid. Of course every kid has their bad days, but from this it at least seems like she's nicer than most. Then again none of us can know that without knowing her, of course.
The way she didn't scream when she got the kitten and how she held it also gives me the idea she might just be a gentle person

And the truth about sold pets...is that they are raised for looks, for breeds. Inbreeding causes genetic problems... inborn problems, and they are not humans who can express the need for help, let alone their suffering.
They suffer in silence. And people then wonder what is wrong... only to discover after taking them to the vet....
It seems like a good lesson along with responsibility to encourage your child. they may not understand this now, but as they grow older, they will.

@@shaneluke346 So are you saying families with young kids shouldn't have pets at all? Usually the parents would be there to help taking care of the animal(s) and supervise their behaviors. Having pets also helps kids to learn about responsibilities.
The girl in this video was very gentle with the kitten. She didn't just grab him out of the box, but instead waited for an adult to hand him to her. The way she held him was soft yet secured. I think she will be fine.

This was so cute! Usually kids are so crazy with pets and scare them, but she was so gentle with the kitten! And she immediately thought to say "thank you so much" afterwards. This was adorable
