Absolutely hilarious, screaming Fullmetal alchemist and other outbursts 😂😂
Selim, you were supposed to destroy the homonculi not join them
To be fair, Selim has been deceiving humans all his life. Don't feel too bad at having been fooled.
I’m actually shocked Kali figure out as selim ahead of time. That is RARE. Congrats!
Reaction anime konosuba ♥️♥️♥️
As twisted as it is Kimblee wasn't lying when he said he deeply respects Winry's parents, cause Kimblee really respects people who are staying true to their ideals no matter what. By the way Kimblee was the first to found Winry's parents bodies because he was given the order to kill them both, but, by some dark twisted irony, he already caused their deaths by killing Scar's family.
I didn't know he was ordered to kill them, was that in the manga?
@@izukukageyama7552yes, it is in the manga
@@izukukageyama7552 There's that and a bunch of other stuff about Ishval from the manga that was excluded in this adaptation. Makes sense for runtime, but I liked the added detail.
- Armstrong's job was to block in Ishvalans with a wall so they could be cornered and killed en masse. He eventually couldn't handle it and tried to let a young woman and old lady escape through the wall, but Kimblee killed them, and kept this act hidden so Armstrong wouldn't be court-martialed.
- Armstrong was dismissed by the leader of the same squad that Hughes was a part of, and replaced by the Iron Blood Alchemist Basque Grand (He's the first person we see being killed by Scar) who fought on the front line and rallied the troops through his bravery.
- Hughes and the other soldiers were often mistreated and used as pawns by his incompetent leader, and eventually Basque Grand shot him so he wouldn't stop the Ishvalan leaders from trying to peacefully surrender. Every witness agreed to call it an accidental death from a stray bullet.
- Marcoh met Knox during the war. Knox was actually ordered to conduct non-alchemical human experiments on Ishvalan prisoners during the war, dead or alive. It's why he doesn't think of himself as a doctor. He has PTSD and nightmares, thrashing about in his sleep. Once when his wife tried to wake him, he almost killed her, mistaking her for an enemy soldier.
@@_zurr Thanks for the details! Not sure why they didn't include that in the Anime, it would have been even better. FMA:B is definitely top tier, which makes it kind of sad how it could have been even better than it is if they had included that as well as fleshed out the beginning more which they skipped a lot of because it was in the original (such as the mining town incident, that introduced the character Scar is traveling with)
Personally, I think Kimblee's respect means absolutely nothing if he was still willing to kill them.
King Bradley: "Selim would never be a point of weakness in my life."
Now you know why. 😆
He is their Pride and joy after all ;)
10:13
"FULL METAL ALCHEMIST" - Dumbledore said calmly
Lmao
@@CarlieAndAnge FULLMETALALCHEMIST
"This stupid little bastard of a child has tricked me! Son-of-a-bitch!" 😆 LOLOLOL got me rolling
In "The Fuhrer's Son" Selim is about the only character who does not mistake Al for the "Fullmetal Alchemist" upon meeting him, showing Selim is a bit less naive then he lets on.
I did not notice that at the time.
he still supose to be a hardcore fan of him though
A fun fact! In Ep 14, the one where Wrath brings first Greed to Father, we get a little glimpse at Sloth and is the very episode where Selim is introduced. So in Ep. 14, they show us all of the homunculi!
it's also the one where Bradley is revealed to be Wrath, so it really is a whole ep of introductions lol
And during the scene when Greed is insulting all his siblings, he doesn't even mention Pride, which is probably the biggest insult he could give him. And Pride was there in the shadows.
The reaction to selim being homunculus is hilarious 😂
"Fullmetal Alchemist!😡"
I look forward for that moment on every FMAB reaction but this one has been the funniest of them all so far 😂
Kimblee did actually respect Winry's parents he respects those who won't abandon their duty, but he wasn’t sent to help them he was sent to kill them though he did actually find that photo he mentioned he wasn't lying about that
It’s not really duty so much as he values integrity and holding true to your beliefs no matter the circumstances. He DESPISES hypocrisy.
I love how Winry admits OUT LOUD that she loves Ed. 🥰
They are both oblivious to what the other is saying or why.
Kimblee is very much a believer in the "Stay True to Their Ideals no matter what"
If he says he respected WInry's parents for doing the same, then he really means it.
the pride reveal is one of my favorite moments, and i KNEW you guys would deliver 🤣 it’s been so great watching ange shoot down carlie just to have her win it all back here
Can I just say that Ange’s cover of Golden Time Lover is FIRE?? It sounds SO good. It’s definitely one of my favorite covers on the channel.
Carlie, I think you're only missing the part where the Western Sage knew alchemy and he taught the people of Xing to use alchemy with their Dragon Pulse ability. The belnd of the two is what created alkahestry. The Eastern Sage went to Amestris and taught them alchemy, too, but they just use regular alchemy.
One thing I caught later on was that Pride wrote and an entire paper about how great his father was--and read it out loud to him. He helped Wrath feel pride when he was feeling older and that it was time to "pass the power to the younger generation".
I have mentioned this on a previous reaction channel, I love how Mustang refers to Hawkeye as his Queen but to Pride, she would be a Pawn
Damn never made that connection myself pretty cool
Now you know why Bradley said Selim would never be a point of weakness in his life, because Selim is more powerful than he is.
Lmfao! Angelo throughout this whole reaction kept killing me. From his angry yelling of “FULL METAL ALCHEMIST”, to his kiss, marry, kill candidates he had me rolling. Good on ya Carlie for making him play kiss, marry, kill. 🤣🤣🤣
4:30 Kimblee actually respected her parents.
This. It's certainly understandable why anyone would mistrust Kimblee, but he does genuinely respect people who live with conviction and ideals, especially in the face of hardship. That being said it's not as if respecting them is the same thing as liking or wanting to protect them, he was fully going there to ensure they had an "accident".
kimblee its sincere he likes people with a strong passion with no hesitation about his ideals
cruel irony is that kimbley did respect rockbells, but if he were to find them with his squad he would have executed as traitors. he may disagree with someone but he will respect their principles and convictions, he's really twisted and fair in a weird way
Exactly. What a lot of people don't comprehend is that he is the kind of person who can completely separate his personal feelings from his professional actions. Kimblee knew exactly what he was getting into and exactly what you was going to be asked to do when he signed up for this military. Which is why he does not have the same kind of hesitation or doubt that normal humans do.
This is one of the reactions I've been waiting for most!! Pride's introduction is a huge turning point in the series, and knowing how excited Carlie would be for her theory to be proven true made it even better! Well done!!
I felt Ange's turmoil at the kiss marry kill question in my soul
Kowing Salim is Pride makes all the VERY subtle hints leading up to it that much more satisfying for Carlie to call it!
the first time we meet him, he reads off a speech that radiates extreme pride for his "father" King Bradley that he read in school, some of the other subtle hints about "pride of my life" etc etc
The episode was great but the Kiss Marry Kill was greater 😂
I’ve been looking forward to seeing your reaction to the reveal of Pride since episode 14
"I want to learn alchemy, so I can help FATHER!" "FATHER is a great man, he always has the people of Amestris in his heart."
Bradley: "was that a threat? You'll have to do better...Selim will never be a weakness in my life. You (Mustang) on the other hand..."
Yessss i was so excited for you guys to react to this ep!!
Kimblee might be a twisted cold blooded killer but he also is one of the most honest and consistent characters in the entire series in my opinion. He told Hawkeye to not forget her victims faces and he never forgot his, and he also truly respected Winry's parents. He found the perfect job for a crazy murderer!
Great episode, I can't wait for more! I love that at least one of you two got tricked by Selim!
Also yet another episode with the brilliant character that is Kimblee - horrible as that man is, he isn't exactly an outright liar. Kimblee respects those who stay true to their ideals, even if questions them or criticises them for their naivety (such as "You became a soldier thinking you'd never be asked to kill?").
So when Kimblee said he respected Winry's parents, he actually told the truth. Those two lived by their ideals and died for them. Kimblee respects that.
You always make the best videos!
I love watching your videos every day❤
❤️
Finally, this legit gas been killing me , idk who told yall about Selim but sheesh finally ripped the band aid off 😂. As always the suspense of yall tip toeing the theories drive me nuts and made me want this episode to come asap
Congrats Carlie! the reaction was hilarious, pure mayhem lmao
I wasn't expecting the reaction to go this way. GG Carlie! You are the only reactor I know who successfully deciphered pride's identity.
Something I noticed on the rewatch. Kimblee is smart. He is offering to Ed the first stone. The one he used in the Ishvalan War so you don't even know if it would be powerful enough to bring back their bodies.
That’s just why on ep14 Bradley said to Selim “Maybe you will help me someday”
Ange reaction🤣 I was dying to see this reaction. It was hilarious Carlie you hit the bullseye. No one is free from suspicion in this series 😂
NEW SETUP HYPE
Ironically the youngest looking homunculus (Pride) is the oldest and oldest looking homunculus (Wrath) is the youngest.
Definitely one of my favorite episodes.
Love your vids❤❤❤❤❤😊
Great catch with the essay; if you ever re-listen to it you'll appreciate the way Selim trolls "his dad" throughout ;p
i never noticed how much Selim looks like the Animal Crossing villager 😅
also i grinned like an idiot to myself when Carlie guessed that Selim was a homonculus weeks ago lol
Bradley told Ed and Al that Selim cannot be used as a point of weakness for him. They had no idea.
When Selim is behind of Hawkeye, you guys understand he is Pride quickly.
😂
Ange down bad, went for the kiss, marry, be killed
Hey, just wanna say a great way to show off all those new decorations you put up would be to lower your webcam a smidge so we can see more wall
Hi, first of all i'd like to say love the reaction and energy from the both of you.
There is an anime i would love to see your reaction. Have heard of an anime called 86? its a anime with the main theme of reality of war. Although its in a semi mecha genre, but its not focus on big mecha fight like the gundam series. Its more focus on its story, insane character development and world building. There is a lot of foreshadowing and symbolism in this anime, not to mention the fantastic music. There are small fight here and there but it was short and straight to the point type and when there's a big fight, its a big epic fight. Its a roller coaster of emotion. It might be start alittle bit slow on the first 2 episode for the build up, but it pick up later in the season. This anime took the phrase 'show, don't tell' to a whole new level Happy to see you react to it. 🧒
hey Carlie & Ange hope you guys are having a good day!
are you guys going to watch next year “All of us are dead” season 2?
Of course we are! But its not coming out any time soon from what we’re aware of. Maybe next year
I was praying throughout the episode that hawkeye doesnt die when i watched it for the first time
Selim be like you fool for trusting me cause I'm a child, trust no one not even your own son/father
Just to clarify a couple of things.
Alchemy is not genetic or inhereted, and Hohenheim left before he got to teach anything to Ed and Al, so just because the brothers don't know anything about alkahestry, that doesn't rule out the possibility that their father knew something about it.
Ed and Al don't really know what is the extent of their father's alchemy knowledge, they don't know what he can do or not. So when Ed blamed Hohenheim for their mother's death, I'm pretty sure he's just being unreasonable because he hates Hohenheim and wants to blame him for everything bad that's happened to them.
By the way, I've been really looking forward to this episode to see Carlie's reaction to her theory being correct, that was great!
Yeah Ed and Al learned all that through actually studying alchemy, yes they’re naturally gifted at it but it’s by no means just something they could naturally do without actually learning it by working studying hard. Which they never knew alcahistory was a thing, so they’d have to study it too first before being able to do it
Kimbley is an interesting villain and even somewhat likeable because he never is untruthful with anyone. He tricked Winry but he never lied to her. He answered honestly when people ask about his motivations to just use his alchemy as he wants, even tho he uses it to kill.
Hes definitely a psycho but not a liar. I think that's why a lot of people like him. Kinda how people liked Barry earlier in the show.
As soon as i am home i am with you guys :D cheers fam. also when are you guys going to start watching One Piece ;)
Think back to when Maria Ross when to xing. Fuu said the sage from the west came and created alchahistry and Ed said the sage from the east came and taught alchemy. Ed and AL didn't learn any alchemy from their dad they learned it from reading his books and from Izumi. Their understanding of their father all comes from what their mom told them.
Carlie! That Kiss/Marry/Kill was cruel, but hilarious.
8:40 Just a timestamp for myself
This was too funny
10:12
Here is a fun game for you: watch the openings again, and see how many events and references can you recognize up to where you are in the series! The openings are technically foreshadowing, but they make more sense in hindsight.
8:44 PERIOD !
Not the sneaky Zed edits from League of Legends💀💀
I’m so happy if found another reaction duo that doesn’t act like someone walks in with a shotgun at every damn thing. It’s a bummer that it’s mostly anime, but this show is pretty good.
Not only is the author of the manga a woman, she apparently grew up on a farm so the avatar she used in her doodles was a humanized cow.
It's time! Prido!
8:40 😂
to throw a wrench in your western vs eastern sage discussion, hohenheim never actually taught ed and al alchemy, they taught themselves from the books in his study. theyre just very bright and were able to figure it out on their own. take that as you will
I still never understood this after so many rewatches. Why didn't pride kill buckaneer (however its spelled) and the others in the tunnel now. What did I miss?
He had to go home and deal with Hawkeye and his mum the blabbermouth
In epside 50-ish. Selim clearly states [SPOILERS] how much his mother means to him. So when hawkeye came back. Selim like the child he is went back to make sure Hawkeye didn't come to kidnap her mother. Because quite frankly, the homunculi were already expecting treason from Mustang
@@doubleasworkshop1692 No, he wasn't concerned anyone would have the balls to harm or kidnap his mother. He more wanted to be on top of anything his mother said, since that could reveal his identity. Both Wrath and Pride would just be unhappy if anything happened to her, but it wouldn't slow them down furthering Father's goals.
I don't know if it's intentional but the audio from the episode sounds pretty distorted
That's just Pride's voice
I love Buccaneer
Carlie won ❤❤❤
i feel like it's kinda late but as much as i like the guitar cover, i feel like it could use a bit of an adjustment in volume. everytime i set the right amount of volume to watch comfortably, the cover blasts too loudly in my ears lol
okay, now on to continue watching the reaction :)
Hey as an idea once you're happy with you redecorating why not a vid showing off the full room
Dang, Carlie came within inches to fully piecing something together here. There is even a visual hint in the episode 18 where Old Man Fu is discussing his country's alkahestry.
Since I watched The Omen way back when, I’ve never trust boy in neat, formal attire. Bow tie and vest… nah
Kimblee Jackson😂
8:55 LMAOOO The betrayal 😭
kimblees an interesting one. what i like a lot about him is that hes very rarely disingenuous, and so you can take pretty much everything he says as genuine. he loathes hypocrisy and deeply respects when people stick to their choices no matter what, so he was telling the truth when he said he respected winrys parents. he feels like a snake, but hes actually a lot more transparent than he seems
Also Ange, if you killed Hawkeye, Mustang would melt you into the floor.
Izumi is a loving wife though she does playfully throw knives at her husband's head.
poor selim x3 😢
I'm sorry, but what did Ange say at, 8:45?
“There’s no way Carlie! No chance!”
@@GalEl1806 Ok thank you, i'm not good at hearing when 2 people talking at the same time.
👍👍👍👍👍
What if it would actually be more merciful to use the stone up??
Lol Zed
Selim os the first of the Homunculus father created.
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
JJK season 2?
WOW! I THINK I SPEAK FOR THE OG'S ON THE CHANNEL WHEN I SAY WE MISS LEAGUE OF LEGENDS CONTENT
REACTING TO NECRIT LORE VIDEOS WILL BE INTERESTING
the brothers only learned alchemy after hohenheim left. so no, they wont inherit alcahestry from him. they will learn what is being taught in their country
Carlie if you're not smug as all hell at this reveal I'll be a lil disappointed because you called it massively, I was on the way to the kitchen in picking up my dinner when you said that massive line and I nearled popped a shoulder at the twist I did in looking back to check I'd not misheard you.
Ah yes, now that you've finally met all of the Homunculi, time for me to address their ages as of the current time of FMA's story 😆. In terms of Father, their creator, this is a bit of meager spoilers but he's around 435 years old. This'll help explain the ages of the rest of the Homunculi 😅. Now then, going from oldest to youngest.
Pride is the firstborn and eldest sibling of the group, despite his appearance, being over 350 years old when he was first created. Lust is the second Homunculus to have been created, being approximately 250 years old. The original Greed was the third oldest, being 200 years old. Envy is the middle child, being 175 years old. He's eventually followed after by Sloth who is the third youngest of the Homunculi, and he in turn is followed after by Gluttony, being the second youngest. This of course leaves Wrath being the youngest out of all of them, being around 59-60 years old as of the events of the series. He's also in some way a half-sibling to the Homunculi, do to him being the first Human-based Homunculus, with his human side explaining his age and appearance.
The reason why I didn't bring up either Sloth or Gluttony's ages is because they don't make sense in accordance to their confirmed creation order. With Gluttony stated to be 160 years old and Sloth being 150, which if you ask me should be in reverse 😅.
One piece reaction please 🙏🙏🙏
Marry Olivier, kiss hawkeye, kill Izumi.
Was gonna say "marry hawkeye" since she's probably a better wife than Olivier, but then I realized the money and genes Olivier would give my children.
You don't have a reason to like Kimblee? How about he gets out of prison and just decides to be the best dressed person in the series.
Reaction anime konosuba 😢🎉
