people say todays movie trailers are all the same without realizing that trailers have always picked a specific trend and stuck to it until it gets old
Hubba hubba Allison Hayes really cuts a fine figure in the movie The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman! But I did remember there was another movie but it was somewhat of a comedy with Lou Costello who plays a garbage man who in his spare time was a chemist and the movie was called the 50 Foot bride of candy Rock I'm trying to remember the actress in that movie?
"The Day the Earth Stood Still" still holds up as one of the best sci-fi movies as well as one of the best pleas for liberalism and tolerance. The Cold War mentality was "if it moves, shoot it"; which starts the worst behavior of the "human race" in this film. This movie had a Jewish scientist--actor Sam Jaffe--negotiating with Klaatu, and the final speech is delivered to a crowd of both genders and all races. I wish I could have lived in that time and place...Now that I think of it, I was born in 1951, when the movie was made...
Can't stop watching these old movies.I'm a horror and sci fi junkie
The Day The Earth Stood Still played on tv every single year for 5 years on New Year's Eve here in Canada. Watched it every time.
One of the best selections I've seen.

...yup.....
FYI: First Spaceship On Venus was the only East German movie ever to hit American theaters.
"They came 250 million ,miles!" So, Gort and Klaatu came from the Asteroid belt?
GoblinXXX What's even stranger is Klaatu should have told off the USSR before the USA in terms of nuclear proliferation.
LOL!
Every time an alien creature comes to earth, it's always "shoot first, ask questions later". All it takes is one jackass with an itchy trigger finger.
How about a planet of a holes
You deserve more views!

These films were a reaction to the proliferation of nuclear weapons...a warning to humanity .
Mankind will we ever learn before it's to late?
