This is Kyla’s own song that she wrote for her husband, but in this video she turned a love song into a worship song. MASTERFUL RIGHT? Seriously, I can listen to Kyla sing all day...it’s just so warm and comforting. She definitely ages like fine wine in terms of music especially her vocals. She’s still my favorite Filipina singer until now.

You're right. That technique is hers. Since she started her career it's always like that. And she's very technical whenever she do runs, she would count them to make sure they're on point. She has a channel and she explains how she does those incredible runs.

"Beautiful Days" is an original song that she wrote (together with Jonathan Manalo, I believe) for her then boyfriend, now husband. While it was initially intended as a love song, she turned it into a worship song for this Live from Home performance, recorded during the lockdown. It is indeed wonderful how she has experimented with the lyrics and the riffs and runs of her own song. Very nice reaction, you two! More to come, I hope.
P.S. I'm happy you appreciate her skill in flipping between falsetto and head voice. Few people understand how difficult that can be and how well she does it. I'd argue it's almost unique to her, at least among Philippine artists.

She uses the "Staircase" method in hitting her riffs, she has a video tutorial on how to do her riffs but still Us, the majority, can't do what she does. This woman is definitely a master :)

Such Joy listening to Kyla’s voice and it becomes 10x more enjoyable when you get to share the experience with real musicians and artists too cause you can genuinely see their awe and admiration. You guys have said it - she’s a masterclass. A wizard. 🙌🏼 this is her own song by the way, a love song she wrote for her bf then turned hubby. And now turned it into a worship song towards the bridge.

Speaking about Kyla, You would want to check contestants from Tawag Ng Tanghalan or TnT (remember TnT boys ?). She is a judge there along with Gary V., Jaya, Yeng, and many more. @@aeronmontala6051 Thank you. I just feel that Wish 107.5 is great BUT to be honest it's just the surface of what Filipino music is, if you really want to dive deeper and really get to know Filipino singers in raw form TNT shows that.
Its like shes painting the lyrics and the melody of the song through her hand gestures it amazing. The runs and riffs are tastefully done. A very humble lady. Speaking of mastery,she also teaches how to do proper riffs and runs on her chanel. React to kylas original song hangang ngayon it was also very well done.

Kyla once said that to do her runs you must practice it by singing and imagine that your voice is going up or down the stairs.
I need more practice because when I do runs, it's like my voice is going up and down all over the place.
