"i guess she escaped" gets me every time, meaning her life must be miserable up to this point. The guitar introduction in screeches tale is screeches steps while fleeing, you literally can hear screech getting out of breath while getting slower. Calling Violet a liar is so disturbing because she never speaks, effing Stevie! Loving how the camera points to the sky while "she never stood a chance" expressing violets prayer to heaven😢 and then coming down representing the devil coming to dance. I literally thought after Ren said "not one word she stays quit" and he started walking away... 'don't leave her like this, get help'...until i realized 🙄 Ren is nothing but a genius
If Brooke's in L.A., you've GOT to introduce her to Chinchilla before Chinchilla's live show in Hollywood on 9/30. Come on Qwerky. Let's help Chinchilla PACK that place!
@@mastertoymaker5249 I don't know if I can post links here, but there are a couple videos from the performance on the Front Row Live Ent. channel. They also did an interview with Chinchilla where she said she was going to be in L.A. for 6 weeks. I don't know when that 6 weeks started or if there are any other live shows planned, but I haven't heard of any yet.
Excellent reaction!!! Love love LOVE how excited you are about Ren and sharing his gift of music, storytelling, etc., with people you love and respect. All around awesomeness!
Excellent reaction! My 2 favourite moments from The Tales: - After screaming at his gf, Screech takes a deep breath & transforms seamlessly into the narrator - As Ren sings, "She never stood a chance" the camera pans up to the spiralling stairwell, symbolising the generational cycles that they can't escape.
Hi. Things I haven’t seen anyone ever say: -Perhaps the miracle is that the twins even survived (doubtful Violet got pre-natal care) -Violet’s mom abuses alcohol maybe because it numbs her to having lived like Jenny (abused as a child and as an adult) -women stuck in abuse feel helpless, maybe Violet’s mom only started drinking when first aware of Violet being abused feeling helpless and wanting to numb herself (not excusing her, only imagining)
One thing nobody seems to have mentioned is that "It's such a shame" is basically UK's version of "Thoughts and prayers"; a meaningless gesture to pretend you care, but in fact you'll do nothing at all to prevent this in the future
"Thoughts and prayers" is not a meaningless gesture you say to pretend you care...I guess for sociopaths it could be, but that's not why most people use it. I've heard it quite a bit recently after my mother passed away from cancer. Everyone is fully aware of the situation, that here are times when no matter what you say, nothing will help the situation. What do the people that actually care say when you lose a parent then? Don't worry, things will get better!, knowing they obviously won't? Of course not. I almost can't think of something more genuine to hear than I love you, I'm thinking about you, and I'm praying for you.
Hey lovely HUMANS 👋. Even at the start when he mentioned how for what ever reason Jenny felt something in the air, it's well known that twins have a feel for each other 🤯👏🔥🙏💪🐝🍀🇬🇧
I love these three short one shot live performances (the fact that these are one shot live performances amazes me) the subject matter may not be for everyone but they show a genetic cycle of behaviour that doesn't require communication that is called the 12 monkey syndrome (12 generations of monkeys that had zero contact with each other were given 💉 shots and learning to put their arms out to receive the 💉). Steve and Screech had similar traits as did Violet and Jenny. I like the fact that musicians, actors and people are involved in cinematography and pick up on different things. We RENegades are loyal and I know that the true ones will only spread love in a positive way. Great reaction 👏
Ok, Ren, for the start of the second song I want you to play this fast, complicated guitar lick while walking downstairs in the dark barefoot... Ren,"Hold my beer..."
No idea if it was really the intention, but another reactor pointed out the descending chords, the descending Ren, and Screech's descension into chaos.
Ren tells the stories and the filming of the stories are all done so well i found myself looking for the bodies laying on the ground. The saddest thing about this is the fact each of these things are happening in every country at this very moment and the cycle continues
Nice reaction. FYI Sick Boi is back up. Justice and persistence prevails. Ren put the call out to his followers to get his Kujo Beatdown to a million views within a week. It just hit one million views. UA-cam now realizes that Ren was sold an illegal sample in bad faith, and so they have restored 'Sick Boi' to the platform, and they have taken away the copyright strike. I suspect that Kujo will have to pay the Bulgarian Choir 50% from his earnings off Sick Boi. Not only that, Ren had a face to face meeting with the head of UA-cam Music a couple of days ago to discus music and reactors etc. Go Ren.
Speaking of the order, Brooke; The order is actually part of the art. For those that don't know, Jenny, and Screech's Tale both were made at the same time, with Violet's Tale coming two years later. One of the key features of J&S is recurrence. Both songs repeat the beginning at the end, "a clear dark night on an empty street" and "our story, it [starts], right at the [end]", both songs repeat the same final line, "it's such a shame". The final line is rumored to be a quote from a news article that inspired the tales, but there's more meaning to it than just that. It's a jab at society. The way we see these stories, over and over (!), and all we seem to offer are our thoughts and prayers. Our fleeting expression of dismay, "it's such a shame", and then we move on until it inevitably happens again. Rinse and repeat, reruns, repeats, time lost. When it came time to make Violets Tale, The only rule was recurrence. And the absolute genius that is Ren blew it out of the park. Not only did he repeat the beginning (thrice) this time, not only did he literally rewind mid song, not only did he make the characters take traits from the parents, the violence, the silence, the multiple forms of abuse, all the way down to the panic of the villains after the fact. But most impressive, to me, was the masterstroke, by ending with Violet's Tale, he didn't just point out the repetition; He restarted the entire saga. The end is the beginning, and the beginning is the end.
In Jenny's tale he says to her in a way of a threat " You don't me " meaning you don't know what i'm capable of but she could of said your my twin brother (if only known).
That thing about orphans being called Jennifer and James in the UK is an urban myth that's sprung up around the tales. It's not the case at all. Anyway. Brooke seems lovely. Nice reaction.
As your guest see the Tales for the first time I think it would also be nice to point that it's live recorded and of that they as ''the music'' is a simple acoustic classic guitard that feel ALL the space ;-) Great guest 🙂
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU - This is honestly one of the best reactions and post educational breakdown. The fact you knew about the relationship between his girlfriend and best mate is actually rare in the reaction community. There is actually a UA-cam video called “Ren - Screech's Tale Instagram Stories” it’s of Screech filming himself on a phone that he stole from Ren, in the videos he (Screech) records he is hanging out with his mates. You can definitely see chemistry between his mate and GF. I’m sure it’s all ready be mentioned but a couple of days ago UA-cam had a face to face meeting with Ren. For the time being his original SICK BOI track is back up on UA-cam. And the strike has been removed. Once again thank you and keep up the great work.
violets death is the tragedy , the miracle is the birth of the twins. this song resonates for me having grown up in the care system and it was and is not uncommon for girls to follow jenny's path and boys to follow screech's
Just some info about this song .... 2 0 0 5 is the year, the headboard (hospital bed) at the beginning of violet's tale has her name, you can google 2005 paddington to see this tragic story.
Throughout the acting and and staging is all done live, so essentially theatre! All of this indicates the intellectual level of the performance and production in this piece of art. IMHO the Tale of Jenny and Screech is a Three Act Shakespearian Tragedy, in the style of the wondering minstrel bard. Ren has self identified his music as bard core, so that is confirmed. This is an ancient style of music; that goes right back through the traditional wondering minstrel bards of the middle ages. Just like the works of Chaucer would be sung in a Wife of Bath's ale house. And back to the Dark Ages of Anglo Saxon epic poetry of Beowulf, on through the Greek Homeric tales of The Iliad and The Odyssey and the beginning of the Choir. This form of story telling probably goes all the way back to Ugg twanging his Bow to woo the Chiefs Daughter or complain about the Chief stealing the meat from his hunt A recurrent theme of story telling with rhythm and melody at the hut of a Widow Ale Wife, where Ugg and others would congregate to let off steam and tell tales of epic hunts; to then draw on the local cave walls, like the graffiti in The Tales. In the song the music acted in those ancient roles part as interlude/intro as well as melodic emphasis and sound effects for the story. As a sound engineer and producer one thing that stood out to me instantly was Ren's use of locational reverb in the sound production. They got lucky with the Seagulls in part of the song but skill was to then was deliberately leave it in and emphasize it in the mix. Look to acoustics of theatres from 19th century through Greek and Roman and stone age open air theatres, circuses and ancient ceremonial sites. When the sound engineers was what stone and wood you used to create sound projection. Sound engineer is an ancient art, that goes back tens of thousands of years right back to Göbeklitepe and probably beyond.

You have incorrect information. Ren bought an Unlimited but non-exclusive license, and on top of the fee Ren paid upfront Kujo is also entitled to a percent of publishing money. The issue was first of all Kujo sold the beat with an unlicensed sample, breaking contract and not informing Ren. When the sample owners came for their share Kujo not refused to own up to it. On top of that there was a problem with publishing (nothing to do with Ren, and now that Ren knows about this he is working to get Kujo his due from publishing) and they did not pay Kujo his split. This is of course unfair, but not only Kujo not own up to using a stolen sample, he tried to use the situation to get Ren to also pay him 50% of the master, not just the publishing money he is in fact due.

Would it be appropriate to use that term whenever I see someone from the UK talk about beans and toast😢

This is of course unfair, but not only Kujo not own up to using a stolen sample, he tried to use the situation to get Ren to also pay him 50% of the master, not just the publishing money he is in fact due.
Orphanage? We're not living in Victorian times!
Orphanages still exist, they're just called children's homes now. There's one not far from where I live.
