The favorite take-off video of all time - with a double trip-seven punch. PIA one, 25 seconds from full-power to rotation - sickening acceleration.

The front-on shot of the approaching SIN B777 at 2:18 shows just how big the Turbofans are, using the main fuselage as a comparison. The sound of the 2-stage spool-up of the engines is just awesome. I have flown the Perth-Singapore route on SIN B777-200 several times now, and the 777 is just a magnificent aircraft. It's a joy to watch this type of footage.

If just about sound , I loves Rolls Royce Trent over General Electric GE90-115B. Although the fact GE90 have a lot of thrust than RR Trents , for aviation fans know that, RR engine is more like riding a sports car that makes you worth the ticket price. That roaring beast sound is what the best part , the air-sucking power is strong. Never any engine can do such rev-up sound except Rolls Royce. Just my 2 cent.

God I love this video, since childhood I have always been spellbound seeing planes landing and taking off, and in San Diego, flying over your car. I was hired to be a flight attendant but had to abandon that due to a very jealous ex-fiance, however my heart has always been with flying. My brother-in-law who flies commercial told me that I could take up flying but I have terrible eyesight and I would be reduced to props. I wanted jets just like "Maverick", so I'll settle for your videos. Michele

@onsyod No breaking of sound barrier as some mentioned. Jet engines can´t take in air at speed faster than something around 350 mph. All fighter jets and Concorde had intakes that were longer than engine itself only to make sure that air coming into engine is bellow 350mph. As some1 mentioned already, it was condensation of water due to sudden change pressure.

When the engines power up, the air is forced into the turbines at high speed, and the pressure drops just before the turbine. When the pressure drops, the overall average air temperature drops too causing the water vapor in the air to condense and form mini clouds. It happens on wings too when heavy lift is generated such as in a steep climb or turn.

There are 3 engine options for the 777: General Electric GE90, Pratt & Whitney PW4000 and RR Trent 800.
Singapore Airlines flies Trent 800, Pakistan International Airlines (or PIA) flies GE90.
777-300ER and 777-200LR are exclusively GE90, but with a wider fan and a larger engine core.
