- By popular demand... a quick run-through of the green screen workflow used on my earlier technical experiment that just grew… using the Bond Meets Q Promo from Skyfall (2012) Sony Pictures.

Adding one tip for you all. An adjustment layer with light film grain is a great way to blend the finished frame of these types of green screen. (I’d try that before adding a slight blur. Film grain is the great unifier)

Brilliant work - you have the patience of a saint too! Every time I do a green screen project, no matter how small, I learn something new, especially when it comes to getting the cleanest key you can (I winced at the creases in your fabric - more work!). One thing I'm beginning to realise is that if you are doing a 25fps project, shoot in 50fps if using a 180 shutter angle, as motion blur can hurt the key as well. And if someone turns up with straggly, curly hair and black rimmed glasses, be prepared for some extra post time! 😄
You're right Steve... I should have taken more care with the creases. Thing is, I knew I would have to cut a matte tightly around each shot anyway, so I got a bit lazy! Good tip about the 50P... especially if there's much movement. That would have helped a lot. Thank you. 👍

Izotope RX would help with the audio as you can remove certain parts of the audio - including vocals - with master rebalance. Great walkthrough!

I must say, though, that your opening Aston Martin comp, while very, very close, is not quite as successful as the others. I'd darken your face and torso at least a half stop. : )
You know... you're right. I agonised over the exposure on that opening. Trouble is... if you stare at something for too long! 😂
@@extrashotBesides the very slight over exposure, what caught my eye was the highlight right in front of your ear, the rim light on your right arm and the relatively hard-edged shadow of your legs on the tarmac. Comps are hard. I did green screen back when it was blue screen. :)

I felt a bit of difference in the color and sound. James looked colder(less yellow), greener (less magenta), and a bit less sharpened. His voice was a bit dull, low, and convincing. It sounded like he was in a large room and the mic was over his head (thus duller), while yours mic was in front of you, but farther away (thus toned higher frequency and extra sounds from your mouth) in a small room (a bit of echo).
All valid points... my excuse is I'm pushing the limits of my poor monitor and rubbish speakers. A bad workman etc !😂
