This comment is on another video, but I feel that the chronology of my posts will make sense. Nonetheless, I'm hoping you'll upload her entire album. Myself, I do not know how far her discography extends, but feel free to upload anything and everything you have on Sherrie Actor. In a sense, you're a media historian by throwing this content on UA-cam. Her impact in the moment of the 80s Germany was strong, but the preservation of her image died out with her abrupt departure from the country. You're preserving a frameshot of history. As far as I can tell (from my mother's stories and from my own research), she had an immediate popularity, but her early departure and isolation (in due part to her sincere honesty, strong moral code, and nostalgic nativity) meant her impact was not everlasting. She essentially left Germany as she came, as unfocused talent.
A small note: her producer, Nikki Munroe, often collided with my mother. Chord progressions, tempo, volume and other aspects of her music were often fiercely debated upon. However, the reality of her position meant that she was a performer and that her producer was the master. It was somewhat like a puppeteer/puppet relationship, but this dynamic is what ultimately ended in my mother's leaving of Germany. The story begs more to be answered, as I've never explained the catharsis for my mother's necessity to return home, but the drama and interpersonal complexity of music industry often leaves leading questions and further inquires. To be frank, the story behind "Boy on the Photograph" is much more elaborate than the production itself. If anything, these recordings are just a snapshot of a much greater narrative.

Wow! I didn't expect such development, when I was uploading these songs. Thank you for this story and your mother for this album, it's wonderful piece of 80's new wave music. P.S. "American Solitaire" is fully uploaded!:)

New wave music... Sherrie nor myself even knew of the genre (and I went to a university with a strong music program)! We strongly appreciate your work. I'm just starting to get into music and music production, so my mother and her works are a huge resource for me to help understand music holistically.
I'm just curious, where did you rip this music from? Was it a tape or record? She has a tape of her album that sounds a bit more sped up than your upload. I'm thinking it's an artifact of the tape itself, but I'm not too sure.
