This is revenge at a couple of levels. The first is the story line, but he second, and not-so-hidden is the revenge on the industry for cancelling Soojin. No wonder two of the songs from this album were banned by KBS, and this video comes with a warning.
Again, this MV works on 2 levels at least - Soyeon being Soyeon again. In other MVs, you do find yourself second- guessing if you are reading things into the MV when something seems to be a Soojin reference, but in this, it's pretty clear. At 1:31, the part with the newspaper clipping, there is a piece of paper to the right. At the bottom are 4 days of birth: Minnie, Soojin, Yuqi and Shuhua's. If you add to that that the MV was released on the 100th day of Soojin's return as a soloist (they didn't tell us they were releasing it, it just dropped,) that the accusations and suspension of Soojin happened over the Easter period, and that her last album was "I burn," that there are 6 pairs of fingerprints on Shuhua's board and 6 characters in it, I would argue that this was a deliberate reference to what happened to Soojin. In the case file, there is also a picture of 6 people, the 6th being in bandages.
They’ve released a “case file” video to explain the plot. Storyline wise, it’s basically a coverup thing. The girls took revenge on the abuser and staged the fire/explosion. And it’s a blatant shoutout to former member Soojin, who made her solo comeback two years after leaving the group.
There are a LOT of theories to the context of this MV, but don't be fooled: there is no definite answer. People spouting theories as explanation should let you know it is just their theory. The Case File explains the bullet points on the cork board from the perspective of Shuhua. It does not explain the meaning behind the MV. I think you had a good take on a first watch, nicely done!
From my perspective, that scene was after they already did the "Revenge". They all had different reactions, Yuqi was feeling the weight of herself smashing the guitar over the guy's head and helping unalive him. Shuhua is replaying the scene in her head trying to piece together all the gal's whereabouts. She pauses time briefly so that there are 6 people in frame. I believe that's a nod to OT6.
@@kiryukaimemorial i know the scene is from "Shuhua Inspector" 's mind. Maybe you are right, it's Yuqi being guilty but, why are they meeting again after the killing scene ? Is it just a coincidence since they lived together ? Or is it before the killing scene and they were making a plan ? Ty for your pov tho 😊
@@bunkersloco9559 Yes, in the Case File MV they released, it is explained all 5 girls live in the same building, or at least 4 of them do, and Minnie rents out the room above to have her affair.
CUBE released a short video this morning, "Revenge : Case File (G)", that explains much of the questions peeps have for this MV.

Thats right. They have Soojin's birthday on the bulletin board and the Korean antis pretty much lost their minds and started frothing at the mouth.

5:25 "I got the revenge" x5 LoL 😂❤

There definitely is a definitive answer considering Soojin's birthday is in the MV. OG Nevies know the truth and who GIDLE truly is and care about.
i miss Soojin
I hope you can react to Gidles fate, that one has some beautiful lyrics
Man im still a bit confused why Yuqi is shocked in the hallway ??
