That’s the thing that pisses me off about the United Snakes! It not only bans Chinese companies, but it also forces all of its allies (puppets) to ban Chinese companies as well! For example, when the US banned Huawei it forced the UK, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, S Korea, Italy, and the rest of its vassal states to ban Huawei as well! In fact, all of these countries already had Huawei’s telecommunications lines and Internet system installed, but the US forced them to yank those systems all out, which cost those countries hundreds of billions of dollars in lost services and products that they had most already paid for! Now they all operate on slower 4G and 3G systems which hurts their businesses and citizens!
My response to your statement has been deleted by the so-called “freedom of speech” country because it exposes their lies! Everything about this evil empire it contradicts itself!
There's virtually no Chinese EVs in the US market right now. Any tariff imposed on them means "Don't bring your cars over. We're scared to compete with you!"
The largest automotive market outside of China is USA, and the second largest market is India. Chinese car companies have almost no business operations in these two countries, but in this situation, they surpassed South Korea in 2021, Germany in 2022, and Japan in 2023. Now, China has become the country with the largest number of car exports in the world.
If you ever visit a large Chinese city where majority of cars are electric, it's a sight to behold, the air is clean, the streets whisper quiet. It feels futuristic. it is not just the US hypocrisy that is galling, but its sheer vindictiveness just because it cannot compete fairly!
I imagine, that the US would be economically more competitif, if they spent more money on infrastructure than raging wars.
Anyone who studied the economic history development of the U.S. will KNOW that the U.S. economy grew during its Industrial Revolution due to the simultaneous expansion of its infrastructure in roads and rail, ports and hydro electricity dams - and then, it slowed down and stopped in the mid-20th century to rest on its laurels while focusing on foreign wars - with dire consequences as we now witness.
@@George-k6o9t That is the message RFK Jr has been trying to instill in people for the past year and the reason he wants to stop the forever wars and invest in infrastructure instead. It's one of the reasons he has my vote.
@@dao8805 For the sake of the United States and the rest of the world, let's hope and pray that more logical and sane minds like JFK jr will get into the Whitehouse. Far too many crazy "coots" from Hollywood actors to Reality TV "stars" to geriatrics ready for the "Old Folks Home" have been ruling the roost for far too long. None have been able to have a vision for the future of the nation and its people except try to "roll back the clock" to some by-gone horse and buggy era (just listening to some of Old Joe's speeches makes me, a 73-year old cringe because they carry so many nuances and words that comes from the days of the rotary dial telephone and telegraph and I wonder, what is there for the young generation ahead? What do they have to look forward towards?). I am not even an American, by the way, but I do fear for it's future - a nation that has so much potential and so much resources to actually do real good for the planet - reduced to dighting wars with peasants wearing sandals and carrying ancient firearms in 3rd world countries.
Guns and butter - you cannot have both in any country and its been a proven fact throughout history - that's the reality of economics. The U.S. has to make a firm decision whether to spend its fledgling finances in guns or giving its people butter to live on.

Tariffs are taxes, paid by the citizens of the country that imposes them.
Let them tax their citizens as much as they want.
They are not trying to tax chinese products but kill the competition outright.
Shameful act by USA
they have none

Shameless west as well for following the u.s nonsense.
The real reason these tariffs exist is the rising threat of China to invade Taiwan. The US is punishing China through these tariffs to put pressure on China to not invade Taiwan
The typical west we all know. Freedom, free speech, and free market when they have advantages then as soon as they start losing, they go full fascism against everyone else.
You hit the nail on its head about US' double standards, hypocrisy, and falsehood in the so-called 'rule-based international orders'.
Just perfect, only correction: oligarchs don't beg the government, they own it
Yep! The US government is completely owned and run by ruthless oligarchs! Is it a wonder why it resembles so much like an organized crime syndicate?
The government just signs the forms and puts its hand out for the brown envelope.
If USA don't want to buy let other countries to buy
Ben_Norton, I thank you for your excellence. You're a living legend.
Hypocritical USA lost competitivness !
There's virtually no Chinese EVs in the US market right now. Any tariff imposed on them means "Don't bring your cars over. We're scared to compete with you!"

Like what China does to us car companies?
@@jult2309like Tesla ?
@@Cheesecake99YearsAgo pre electric. For more than 30 years China had had tariffs on American imports
@@jult2309 Don't play dumb. You should know very well that China hasn't banned or imposed tariffs on any foreign carmakers, not just from the US.
Excellent analysis of USA regime's so-called free trade practices.
What I see happening is that everyone will get ahead of the US technological race because countries will be using China high tech products.
Yup. Dogs bark, but the caravan goes on.
If you ever visit a large Chinese city where majority of cars are electric, it's a sight to behold, the air is clean, the streets whisper quiet. It feels futuristic. Sadly for Americans, without affordable EV options, they will never experience this, they will watch on while rest of the world modernise and it's left behind.
Only you enjoy it.
America has one of the largest infrastructures for EVs wtf are you talking about? 😂😂😂
@@Wvavy Our power-grid cannot handle a fully EV environment, our cell towers are actually 4G masquerading as 5G, there is not enough power stations built, the likes of Tesla relies heavily on the Chinese production chain to keep costs down despite it already being too expensive for most people, and to top it all off, we are not even remotely close to being independent from China when it comes to batteries. You have to look at the bigger picture.

Labour costs.
@@Clapper74 It's not labor cost
The real answer is, the US car makers prefer to stick to their age-old method of producing ICE vehicles.
To them, sticking with tradition is much easier, and way less risky.
It's entitlement and individualism
If cost was the factor, India and Africa would be on top.
@@verypleasantguy China has the cheapest labour force and the US can’t compete with slave labour. Everyone in the US wants to make more and more and more. Drives costs up of everything. EV cars are garbage and will soon line the dumps while ICE cars will still dominate the roads. The US also doesn’t care about this as they just pump money into the military complex.
Americans will pay more for everything in huge amounts. FJB!!!!!

Good for thee. The US will continue to economically isolate itself from global market in the process, while the rest of the world will continue to open up to China. Just recently, the Indonesian Embassy for China just made an open briefing for Chinese media and stakeholders where they outline plan to further comprehensive cooperation over multisectoral fields, thus reaffirming Indonesia's commitment to continue the Jokowi's policy of opening up to China under the new president Prabowo in October. The US isn't going to earn the keen trust from the rest of Global South if it continues their reckless diplomatic strategy.
