- Blink-182 have announced the return of Tom DeLonge to the band alongside Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, with a 2023 world tour, new single 'Edging' and a new album coming soon. Musicians reacted online to the huge news, including friends and collaborators Machine Gun Kelly, Jimmy Eat World, Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun. Plus, The 1975's Matty Healy and Waterparks' Awsten Knight shared their excitement for upcoming festival dates alongside Blink, including When We Were Young 2023, and the tour support acts Turnstile, Rise Against, Wallows and The Story So Far also shared their reactions to the announcement.

I’m not the biggest pop punk fan …. But think it’s pretty awesome that Blink is back. Especially after everything that band has overcome….. Plane crashes, cancer, ….UFO’s and Aliens……damn you Tom ! It’s a pretty awesome thing for the whole Rock community I think…..I haven’t seen them since 2001 when they were in town and someone on their bus threw an envelope out the window to my friend and I while we were skating outside the venue they were playing at with 2 awesome tickets inside ….I wish I knew who who gave us those tickets to this day…. Mark and Tom have a chemistry together that Matt Skiba could never replace. Thank God the real blink-182 is back.
I don't think Matt filling in was necessarily replacing, and I agree it's not the same without but he was a good feeling to keep the music and the name circulating key word being circulated because if they would have ended it with departure of Tom I don't think this reunion would have ever happened.

I just learned the fact that Tom is back with a blank because I saw the new music video today, and it just so happens to be my birthday at age 38. I will be seeing blink-182 in May in Manhattan or Queens, wherever they go but I wish I could see the Las Vegas one with all those epic bands that I grew up listening to!!!

I haven't liked an album with Tom on it since Take of your pants... I actually enjoyed the last two with Matt, especially California, which was similar to Dude Ranch and Enema. I hope Tom's return is a good one and not just a publicity stunt while releasing a bunch of schlock..
Not a fan of the new song but am super stoked that the old blink is back together and looking forward to more of the punk rock music they actually known for. Wasn't a fan of Skiba in Blink and didn't really listen to them as a result during that time. The only good songs I think they made was "Parking Lot and Generational Divide".
