Looks very cool. Easy install. Might be a bit much for my 900 Trail, but would love to have it on a bigger ride. Very detailed video!
Right on! Glad you enjoyed it! Ya, I can't wait to use it to go camping in the RZR.
Do you LIKE the Razorback Offroad EXPEDITION RACK?
If you do then THUMBS UP, or leave your thoughts below as a comment!
Just bought the rack for my maverick sport X RC and i found out about it from this video of yours, thanks. One question is about the spare tire carrier, have you had any issues with cracking due to the weight of the spare as the bracket says not to exceed 40 lbs or a 28" tire? Thanks and love your channel.
@@davidl.532 mine seems to be holding up fine with a 32 on it. If you hit it hard then it could possibly damage it. Glad you found the video helpful. It’s a really nice rack. I love it!!
You have your machine decked out sweet !! I like all your videos , especially the ones where you are working on the razor. Keep up the good work. We all enjoy
Thanks Tracy! Stoked you enjoy the videos!! I'm glad to hear people are enjoying the shop videos as well as the ride videos. Appreciate the positive feedback! Many more videos in the works!
Now its time to reset preload on rear suspension, Looks great on your vehicle. Great tutorial also, thanks.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. I'll likely be getting new springs soon.
Not 1st....but I’d still proudly display a sticker on my RZR highlifter 4 seater!! 😉
Hey man, shoot me an email with your address and I'll send ya some stickers.
Slick idea mounting your rotopax to the inside of the spare tire mount, I'm going to try the same thing on mine.
Thanks. I looked at it and it just made sense. All I had to do was get some longer bolts. It’s safer and out of the way. It also fits in there perfectly with my back cargo box. It’s like it was meant to be!
Shock therapy upgrade for extra weight might be useful. This buggy is getting heavy. Sweet build though. I love it.
Hey Marc, I'm about ready to bite the bullet on that. With the addition of this rack the buggy is about 2300lbs and the suspension needs some love next. I've been putting it off for a while because it's super expensive. The last two major areas I want to address on this build are suspension and clutching. Just need to do a little more research.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd i hear ya man. Sounds like we need to do a fundraiser event AJP style. Your content keeps me going when working on the road and during winter months.
@@marctaft3661 Stoked the content can help give you your fix when you can't get out and ride!! I'm currently looking for a reputable and experienced shock rebuilder in my area. Once I find one I'll probably order the Shock Therapy dual rate spring kit setup for my machines current weight. I'm gonna call the guys at Shock Therapy and ask them a few questions before I order. I'll get the rebuilder to do all new seals in the shocks and possible re-valve them to make them a little more suited to the added vehicle weight. Have you dealt with shock therapy personally in the past?
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd I haven't ordered from them yet. Looking to replace my fox 2.0 from 2013 with them. I asked them about trail setups and they seem happy to help so far. They are deep into the dune racing but certainly can help us trail guys. They do a live stream on Tuesdays and take questions.
@@marctaft3661 Oh cool! good to know. I'll have to look into that.
Love the new expedition rack! I need one for my maverick sport. Looks very well built. Great video!
Thanks! Stoked you like it. I was really impressed with the build quality and ease of install as you probably noticed in the video. It's also really light weight which is a big bonus. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I have the same system,,,3 yrs and really like it and the versatility it offers. However my spare tire holder broke after the considerable jarring it receives and my opinion the added stress on hinges. I ratchet strapped mine to back gate and no problems since.
Thanks for the feedback Tom. Have you contacted Razorback Offroad? I bet they would help solve the problem. Personally the only concern I have is that spare tire holder also... I know eventually I'm gonna smack it and it's gonna bend or break. I'm thinking I'll remove the spare tire for local rides to improve departure angle and reduce weight. But for now I wanted to keep it on for a few rides to show it off since the guys at Razorback Offroad and UTV Canada hooked me up with it. So far I love the versatility! Can't wait to load it up and go camping in the RZR for a few days.
The cats stole the show!👍
Ya... those damn things always need attention. They are cute as hell though and keep the mice out of my shop, lol.
Thank you for the video I just bought this rack for my xp1000
Your welcome!! Glad it helped. It's an awesome product. I love it!
It looks awesome dude would love to see more vids of you working on your razor
Hey Bryce, thanks man. Happy to hear you enjoy the shop videos. I've got a few more planned. A lot goes on in between the rides so I figured I'd try to share some of it and it also gives me the ability to show some additional support to the companies who help out the channel!
“This ain’t no trailer queen” Lol when you said that you remind me of yellawolf Lol
LOL. I've had a few people in the past tell me I kind of look like him... I don't see it. Maybe I need some face tattoos, lol.
Cool new look brother! Gave it a Jeep look. Loving the whips. It’s going to really going to come in handy when you make it back down to the States.
Thanks! Stoked you like it. It does give it a Jeep like look with the spare tire on the back. It's gonna be awesome on the longer weekend trips in TN or WV. I always struggled because on the longer trips my camera gear basically takes up all the storage space a stock RZR has, this gives me a lot more storage area to work with and I don't have to play tetris every time I remove and item and want to put it back. I need quick easy access to my camera gear on rides because the action doesn't wait! Can't wait for borders to reopen to tourism... I feel it's gonna be a while till things get back to normal. I'm actually planning to move to the United States next year. Thinking of moving to TN. I've started to slowly look for houses and get an idea of the job market. I'm ready for a change. I've wanted to move to the USA for quite a few years.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd that would be so awesome man! You wouldn’t be short of friends in TN I know you know a lot of people down there from previous videos. If I remember correctly your in the medical field so shouldn’t be no shortage of work for sure and making pretty good money too. It’ll be interesting to see how long until you gain the southern accent haha.
Mad Max!
Starting to look that way eh! I should mount a machine gun turret on the top rack! lol
im still undecided on a side by side or ATV. I don't care which one costs more, it comes down to experience. This is my only concern...Everyone likes do the driving and rip thru trails.
On a side by side, there is always a possible 3 people not doing the driving.
Where on a ATV, there are more chances of getting that thrill, than to be a passenger in a side by side.
If i was apart of a family or friend group, i would want more people to get the experience at carving out the trails, then to be just sitting there as a passenger.
I think a side by side resembles more of a truck and SUV off-roading experience, because everyone is sitting down in a vehicle.
Where an ATV resembles more of a dual sport bike, jet ski, & snowmobile. Because you are sitting down on it like a horse, instead of a vehicle seat
And with that said, because of how huge the side by side market has become, i think it has kinda takin away with that small engine toy experience. Like you are getting on a horse and riding-off on an engine.
Where a side by side leans much more towards a real off road vehicle.
Riding a ATV down the same trail, it is going to be much more exciting than to be driving 3 other people around? What are your thoughts on my comparison?
Battle wagon is looking awesome! Keep up the great work . That rack will come in handy on the west virginia trips. Lol
Thanks Phil! Ya, the #BattleWagon just keeps evolving, it needs a machine gun turret on the top rack now LOL. Ya, if they ever reopen borders this rack will be amazing for the WV and TN trips.
Thanks for checking out the video! I hope you enjoy the install and overview of this awesome rack setup! I know this type of a rack may not appeal to everyone, but to someone like me who films all these videos I bring a lot of extra gear on rides that you might not. Also, when we go on long multiday trips its nice to have some extra space. I've had this rack out on a few rides already and it's functioning well and I have received a lot of compliments on how cool it looks. If you enjoy the video make sure to leave a comment, "like" and Subcribe! Also, follow us on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok!! What do you think of the racK?
If you use a stock tire as a spare make sure you mount a front one......rear will not fit on front..... Great video as usual !!!!! :-)
Great tip Kurt! I run the same size at all 4 corners but if you run a staggered setup like stock then Kurt is correct. The rear won't fit on the front but the front can go on the rear in a bind. Stoked you enjoyed the video man!
Man that thing is sweet!
Thanks man! I think so too! Really happy with how it all turned out.
Realize this is an older video, but its the only one i could find showing the original RBO5100 install vs the newer version. Seems like the differences lie in how the basket mounts.
Hows the rack hold up after 3yrs. Coating looks good too!
Looks great! although with your overall weight I wonder if it will withstand a roll? I don't think so... hope I'm wrong. Thanks for the content keeping us going in the Alaskan winter months, 35 below zero this morning!
Hey Bobby, try to stay warm over there! I'd love to visit AK in the future. I highly doubt this rack would survive a serious roll. If that happens I'll need a new cage and the rack will probably go to Valhalla, LOL. Let's hope there are no serious rolls in the near future.
Without the spare tire and fuel tank, what is the total weight of the rack? Also, as usual, excellent camera work that is good enough that it seems like you practiced some of the shots before you filmed. And, why haven't I seen any footage of your girlfriend? Let's see her pulling cable and wading through mud so we can see if she is a keeper.
Good job as usual on your latest video.
LOL! You'll see more of her in upcoming videos. I need to get her a set of Finntrail waders so she don't get wet! Id guess the rack without the spare tire and gas can is around 50lbs. It's not heavy at all. It's made out of aluminum. The spare tires weighs quite a bit more then the whole rack. Glad you approve of the camera work! The install was super easy, I didn't even need to practice any of the shots.
Hey i have one coming for my 22 Polaris RZR XP 1000
Love the rack looks very clean , are u concerned with the added weight on the back of the rzr , when hill climbing ?
Hey Ben. My machine is already quite heavy. I'm not too concerned regarding the added weight. I don't plan on putting anything too heavy on the top rack. But the spare tire is obviously pretty heavy, however, I haven't noticed much difference. I plan on doing some suspension upgrades soon so I'm sure that will help also. If you want to get technical though, then yes, obviously the added weight will have some negative effects. Everything is a trade off, no matter what modification you do it has pros and cons.
Hi i just got a 2022 Polaris RZR XP 1000 . I like this Rack after your use do you like it ?
I love it. It’s great quality, looks good and is super functional. I utilize it every single ride and would have a hard time riding without it. It’s awesome.
Looks good Julian. Where are you going to mount your rear lights?
Thanks Brad! I was thinking of getting some pod lights and mounting them on the top rack facing back most likely. Might mount on on each side of the rack too. Having extra light at night on the trail is always a good thing. Always so much to do though, never enough time. Hows your RZR??
Apart to fix firewall, last ride following behind someone and a tree limb come through firewall and took out dash. Half way done.
I'm curious does this rack widen the stock cage?
How many miles do you have on the Ol gal now ?
Hey man, just a touch shy of 5000 hard miles on her now! Shes still holdin together great. Gonna do some suspension and clutch upgrades soon.
Looks great! Who’s your camera man?
Thanks! Either a buddy or my girlfriend. Lately it's been my girlfriend helping me out a lot. My friend James shot most of this video though. He used to shoot a lot of the trail rides with me in the past.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Awesome! Love your videos man I watch them all. Maybe a little introduction at the beginning of the vids? You know to give the camera man a little cred....lol
hey i have heard of guys using the turbo intakes for the clutch and air filter, on the naturally aspirated xp 1000, have you seen or heard of this yourself, it looks to give 3x more intake, and i live in extreme mud, and worry about being blocked. what would you reccomend?
First
What do rzr’ s need fire extinguishers
Welllllll.... it's because some RZR's have had a tendency to catch fire in the past, lol. It's not as bad as it was in the early days but it still happens from time to time. The truth is all offroad vehicles should have an extinguisher. You never know if you are going to roll over which can cause fluids to leak and things to catch fire. A fire extinguisher on hand is the difference between a minor issue and a total write off.
Man that’s one slick setup man! 👌🏻👌🏻. That would be great for camping. Overland Rzr haha Man if you lived closer i would of powder coated that for Free. Just the get my name on your ride. Just did a killer race car chassis red with clear. Check it out, Just posted on my Insta.
Hey man! Stoked you like the setup. My whole RZR could use some freshening up but I kinda like the rough and abused look. I'll follow you on Instagram and check it out! I'm hoping to do some camping trips in the RZR this season so I'm sure I'll put the rack to good use.
What happens when u hit a tree limb with your whips and there not able to bend. Will they break?
Ya, eventually they will break if they hit too hard or can't flex enough. These whips are way too long, they are 5ft. I should have gotten the 3ft version so when these break I'll get the shorter ones.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd I like your set up man I live down in Tennessee where the rocks and mud is there is a couple of places down around where I’m at you could come ride but it take some balls lol 😂 thanks for putting out the footage I hope to see it for years to come
Will this fit the 2021 RZR turbo S? Their website has the pro and xp turbo s but I'm not sure if the body is the same.
Hey, I'm not sure. I think the Cage is different on the Turbo S so probably not. If it's not listed on their site then I would try e-mailing them. No one would know better then them.
how can I get involved in a ride this spring
Hey Scott. Shoot me an e-mail. You can find the e-mail address under the "about" tab on the UA-cam Channel.
Can you get one for a 800
Not 100% sure. Just check the website at: www.razorbackoffroad.com
if im rich one day i will definitely buy one of these and make it my hobby
You don't need to be rich man. Most of us are just regular guys. Set goals, work hard and you generally get what you want out of life.
I’m definitely not rich I’m a family man with one income and my wife has really bad diabetes but I just made it happen. Life’s to short man if you want it bad enough you will find a way. That’s what I did. If something breaks on mine I might miss some rides cause I can’t repair it right away but it’s all good. I wanted one so bad that it would drive me crazy if I didn’t have one. Watching AJP definitely didn’t help with my new addiction😂😂. He’s a big reason I said screw it I’m getting one. Best decision I’ve ever made I’ve had more fun than I could ever imagine.
First
Winner! lol. Send me an e-mail and I'll send ya some stickers for being first.
Hey guys, I misspoke when I said this rack is aluminum. It seemed very light and felt like aluminum but it is actually steel. I magnet tested it... and it is definitely magnetic. It is very light weight and in hind sight it does make sense they did not construct it out of aluminum. I just wanted to clear up the error I made in the video. I've been out on a few rides with this rack and it's holding up great. It does not rattle and everything is as solid as when I installed it. It works great and offers a ton of storage configuration options. Overall I am very satisfied with it and highly recommend it.
Looks cool. Rzr looks jeepish
