Thank God the most grateful thing is that both of the hikers were found safe n alive. Kudos to those rescuers and seach parties involved. Makes u feel humble when u look back n reflect about what happened.
Thank you for sharing this CNA ! It must be a very scary experience and it was a very very good lesson to learn too ; never never underestimate the jungle environment you were in and never never make assumption and overestimate yourself when you are in an uncontrolled environment. There are many questions formed in the back of my mind when I watched their stories but that’s not as important as they were saved eventually. Kudos to the BOMBA rescue team for saving them!
Lets just be glad a moment instead of posting hate comments that the chief who stationed there, prioritized human lives above all else and went his way to rescue, even if it doesn't follow the manual or rules. Along with people who are willing to join to rescue. These attempts may be small but they are signs that we are willing to embrace empathy instead of greed or selfishness.
Man. If help is on the way. Stay lah. Unless you are like bear grylls and no help at all then only you go run here and there. That's is why i always over prepare and bring a lot of survival equipment in my bag when hiking
I'm glad they are safe and would have gladly helped out if I were there, but 1. how on earth did they come to the conclusion that red markers mean short cut? 2. why didn't they go back to the night stop they reported after finding water? 3. how would they know they aren't walking into even more wild animals? 4. don't they know that they are making themselves even more difficult to locate?
They are singaporeans. Their forest is like a real forest but with well paved path and clear sign board. They barely ever seen their food while it's still alive.
@@MrTentakul Agreed. Their forest area like Tree-top walk, Bukit Timah Hill, Hort Park are quite well maintained. But how come they don't make use of GPS to guide them out from the forest? At least GPS could give them some sense of direction.
Please guys, you don't know what its like to get lost in the forest. People do make mistakes even on simple routes and many don't make it out alive. Don't comment as if you power like Bear Grylls.
Julian Tan Let's see what you would do if you were in that kind of situation. After a while, you will lose hope, and all you want to do is get food, water and shelter to survive. So don't act like you're fucking Albert Einstein and would do what they were told to do.
When you begin to have hallucinations everything goes downhill from there. The jungle is full of poisonous plants, harmful creatures, deadly terrains and yet they managed to create ripples on the water without being attacked by a crocodile. Well deserved survival notch for them both. Survival is always a happy story
From what Clarice describes - Dominick probably wanted to put his navigation skills (from NS, I suppose). Clearly not well prepared, probably feeling a bit gung-ho causing unnecessary anguish to the family and everybody else. Fortunately promptly and skillfully ,rescued by pple , Singaporean normally belittle.
Back in the day we used to joke about getting lost in gng pulai... It is like getting lost in the flower bushes behind your backyard... How can this be possible????
Only got a cut then do improvised First Aid lor if you don’t have a First Aid Kit and just backtrack if you’re worried. Omg, going down from midway doesn’t mean you’ll get to the starting point 😒. Even as a Singaporean, I’m laughing so hard cause just staying by the stream at most is good alr lmao. No wonder they say Singaporeans cmi at climbing mountains😓
i lost in pulau tioman's deep forest before, completely out of track with no phone battery/signal, light, food&water, slept a night there, luckily still can get back to the track to the village in the next morning, it feels like hell and tarzan experience.. one thing i couldn't forget was when i had to jump the big hole/gap to continue my searching since there is no other way to pass by, and if i fell into the hole, i would have been dead now.
1) Red Tape = Let's go here! WOW. The "intelligence" of these two is appalling. 2) Hey, let's keep moving even though the search & rescue team will have a harder time finding us. 3) Let's make a raft when we can't even secure it! 4) Sure, let's swim after 4 days of being lost and exhausted. The guy should be embarrassed he didn't take charge of the situation like a real man and just allowed themselves to be led further and further into the forest.
this seems to be a little exagerated liek **TRIED** to build a raft???? i bet they just be liek, “eh lets build raft” said clarice then dom “no cannot” then clar “ok, later when they find us we say we tried to build a raft just by touching some wood so we seem very smart
I understand that they didn't want to die from lack of water, but she said they found the stream only 2 to 3 hours away from the coordinates they sent the searchers. They should have stayed by the stream and waited for the rescuers. With water they could have waited for weeks if necessary.
Always download Google Map's offline map of that area before u went into any place if you don't know whether it will have cellphone data service or not, 2nd if you are someone like to go into forest, buy a casio protrek ABC watch and bring it with you, with a map you will know where you are, when u feel that you are lost, stop walking and start looking at the map and the data you have with the available resource you have. NEVER THINK "OH MAY THIS OR MAYBE THAT " in a forest, u will be fuked.
There was a time,i was fishing Toman at the lake, near Kem Kaizen with my family from Pontian, at that time,it was already dusk, and we heard the sound of tiger roaring, we waste no time, put off the campfire, and pack up. Better take precaution, if anyone going for a hike there.
Wow, they’re just stupid. They should have just stayed in the original spot so the search team could find them more easily and they could conserve energy.
My dad saw the news and said: "aiya. This guy have been through army by this age (im not sure about this) . He should be can one lah. He climbed once somemore...army got basic training in forest survival skill one" my dad trying to be optimistic watching the news on the second day. To the NS Men. I trust in you guys to be serious and learn what you need to learn properly. It might be handy one day, not for your loved ones as preached in the army, but least for your own survival. Since many of you guys has been through a practical practice (chiong sua?-not sure if i got it right) but at least get yourself protected. You never know. My dad was wrong. Not all are prepared.
I mean i understand they were panicked but at least try to be a lil more patient ye? Also, that chief is a great guy to put their lives on first priority
I was thinking, why they didn't try to left something when they decided to leave the original spot, such as kind of pattern so it could be a hint for the team to find them.
They packed light, but I wonder what they even packed inside. If they each had a 1 litre bottle of water with them, they could have survived for almost a week with rationing. And why do they not even have a simple FAK? If they had packed that, they could have treated the wound on the spot and either turn back or continued the hike instead of taking a ‘shortcut’. And cutting through vegetation with bare hands? Seriously? And no compass in their bags? And by the looks of it, they don’t even have food in their bag, so why was she even worried that the wild boar will follow them? Even as a Singaporean, I feel embarrassed by them...
wild boar?? we eat wild boars here kampung style in sabah.. ive never heard of wild boars attacking borneons seriously when u live in a concrete jungle you know nothing about a real jungle.
LoL..i was pissed too when they started to walk away from their location..this just shows people do desprate n stupid things when they are not in their comfort zone.. glad they are save
Rename this to " Things not to do when you're lost "
Thank God the most grateful thing is that both of the hikers were found safe n alive. Kudos to those rescuers and seach parties involved. Makes u feel humble when u look back n reflect about what happened.
Ibrahim Bin Mahfuz you're the only positive comment on here 😂
YX Lau lmao ikr

"We were like, heck, lets just swim to what we thought was the original point." *Oh my god how stupid can they be*
People do the dumbest thing when they are desperate and in panic mode.
Well could not they have just been lazier? And sleep more in the forest before continuing? So lame.
Can see the pain in the faces of the rescuers when she bought them KFCs.
Welcome to his stories ❤️

Ifly 777 Sg ppl no survival experience
If they stayed at the original spot , it would just take them 2 days . -_-
Elaxium WARFRAME lmao ikr
And yet they might died by the wild animal
They are just panicked urban people... all their forest is artificial that’s why they had no idea how to react in a real forest smh
Sufyan Iman , i would just make a tent and stay there till help arrives.
dehydration?
lol. sent coordinates to helpers and kept moving away from it because of wild animals (boars) and even tried making a raft???
They want to float back sg custom

I'm glad they are safe and would have gladly helped out if I were there, but

Really no basic sense of survival skills. The guy should had been trained in the army on that.
Franco Ou prolly hes not from saf
they should just stay in singapore
Thanks goodness they were saved. Hello from Malaysia.
I understand that they didn't want to die from lack of water, but she said they found the stream only 2 to 3 hours away from the coordinates they sent the searchers. They should have stayed by the stream and waited for the rescuers. With water they could have waited for weeks if necessary.
it is common for Singaporean city dweller to lost in Mount Pulai. Glad they are safe
When times like this. We completely forget about about 1MDB and grateful for Bomba.
no tun mhaathir will abolish that you bn supporter
I think the people here commenting that they are stupid never get lost in a forest before. It's extremely terrifying.
It so nice of them

Wow Malaysia's hero actually is quite good
Glad they had the determination to live. Lucky them to be found.
has no one told them to stay in place when they are lost when they were young ==
I mean i understand they were panicked but at least try to be a lil more patient ye? Also, that chief is a great guy to put their lives on first priority
from JM's HisStory

How brave to survive for four days
Bomba Malaysia...💪👍👍👍
Dominic got go thru NS b4?
Why did they go hike such a treacherous route? Just head to Bukit Timah Hill.
I was at Gunung Pulai. Did not know there is a certain path that is dangerous.
Why give coordinates and then move away from there?
Bugs are good protein if there is no choice.
Some thick woods. Wow.
they still can call, they should be can sent location through whatssap right?
why they didnt use tar road?
Awww..awesome kan Polis Hutan Malaysia!
Kudos to the Bomba team! #AbangBombaAwesome
Where is the dude?
I laughed so hard just looking at the title
Like what bear grylls always say , if you are lost , stay where u are and if there is wild animal like wild boar get to a higher ground
I remember this on the news
why go so far to johor singapore got bukit timah already
wild boar?? we eat wild boars here kampung style in sabah.. ive never heard of wild boars attacking borneons
seriously when u live in a concrete jungle you know nothing about a real jungle.
Wow what a stone age people, send live location or use google map to walk back to Singapore 🙄
What Malay says " Menyusahkan Orang " .....Causing trouble to others unnecessary...
LoL..i was pissed too when they started to walk away from their location..this just shows people do desprate n stupid things when they are not in their comfort zone.. glad they are save
Lya Wonder it's their choice of survival. i bet you would do the same
The rescue team is so big. I think two person need to share one piece of chickens. But it is a kind gesture though
Bring drone n spare power bank...
Isnt red a universal colour for danger or no entry? Heck even traffic lights have red
Well Done 👍🏻 👍🏻👍🏻 .. Malaysia Boleh 🇲🇾
Achayante kadha kettu vannavarundo..??
Moral of the story: do as you’re told if you’re not sure what to do. Trying to improvise in the jungle is the worst decision.
