its crazy that 4 months is considered not that bad of a wait for us lol, things suck in the uk for trans ppl rn i hope it changes soon but yea im happy for u man. Thanks for showing me that gel is effective, ive seen a few ppl say it takes ages to work or that its not as good as shots but honestly all the gel vids ive seen you guys seem to be at a similar stage to ppl who have shots. I have a massive phobia of needles & want more consistent lvls when i finally get on T so it doesnt make my anxiety worse like what happened to a guy called noahfinnce when he had shots so yea, thanks for sharing. Also ur name is so cool, adrian sweeney sounds like a badass character from a novel

Hey, yeah I also had to make the choice between shots and gel and I did a lot of research to see what the main differences were, it seems that transition speed wise it doesn’t make a difference, I think that just depends on genetics, but I’ve seen Noah’s videos and yeah it seems that levels tend to be more stable with gel, however this isn’t always the case but as someone who’s also uncomfortable with needles, gel was the way better option. And thanks! What a compliment haha

Also, I think things for trans people in general are quite hard but yeah you’re right, especially with how the U.K. is right now and how we’re viewed. I feel like generally as a trans person here, you have to just do all the research yourself, take every step yourself and be prepared for all the obstacles that may come, that seems to be one of the only ways to consistently be moving forwards, and even then there’s challenges that can obstruct that. But I think with time things will get better for trans people!

I got asked all of this before being put on T I’m 1 year and almost 5 months and i started off on tostran gel and recently moved onto testogel although I haven’t been able to hear back from a referal for top

Do you know why they switched you onto testogel? They’ve suggested to me that tostaran will lower my e levels but I don’t really know much about how different types of testosterone affect the body tbh
And yeah, they’re very slow when it comes to referrals so they’re probably just taking a long time, they took about a month after this video to send me a consent form to be under their care, so that they could prescribe me tostran, but they then almost took another month to email me again to tell me that the consent form wasn’t sent in a format they could open it in 🤦‍♂️ so, they’re probably just being long with you too mate

@@adriansweeneyxo well your only meant to be on gel for 6 months then be moved onto injections but tostran is only a small bottle of testosterone that only lasts a month and a half and they put me on a higher dose because I got my blood test taken in may but I haven’t heard anything back and it was only one bottle of it then they put me back on tostran :/
