It was one of the First spy series the New millennium with 24 & The Unit as well. It was sad when they ended. But I did hear Jennifer Garner maby be interested it returning. But sadly i heard about alias @ season 3 as well as 24 & went back abd seen bith of them from the start.
I'm fairly certain the background music was from the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Xbox game (the first one). Took me a while, but recognised it eventually!
I'm currently onto Season 2. And... WHAT...A...JOKE! The acting, the fact that Sydney's trained, is a spy, but doesn't carry a side arm! The quips about 'Is it because I am a woman etc etc'. For a couple of examples:- 1 - How Vaughn JUST STOOD THERE with a DUMB look on his face as a tidal wave of water came rushing through the corridor (even Sydney as she was running was gesturing 'MOOOOVE!' And so he got trapped behind the door... 2 - How Sydney OFTEN TOOK DOWN 6+ foot, 250+ Lb solid guys with her... Well... 'Telegraphed' punches and kicks with her coming off pretty much unscathed... 3 - Early on the character Francie went on a rampage a out her boyfriend, PRESUMING that seeing him with a blonde lady he was 'Obviously' cheating, so, when he tries phoning her again and again, Sydney says "Are you going to talk to him and find out what's what?", Francie just responds "No, I'm gonna let him suffer some more!", WTF? I HATE WOMEN LIKE THAT! AT LEAST find out what went on BEFORE 'Punishing' someone you love!!! And then she finds out IT WAS ALL AN INNOCENT THING about him singing! SHEEESH! 😮 And there's way more laughable issues besides! JEEEEEEEZUS WEPT the COMPLETE FARCICAL ways they scripted in, even the script! Again, WHAT A JOKE on what a spy thriller is supposed to be! And I started this series after completing the WAYYY BETTER 'The Americans'... This 'Alias' series is JUST a female based, entertaining 'Feel good' FLUFF program, WITH NO actual resonance to how a good spy series SHOULD BE! Hahaha (I really can't stop laughing) it's like a comedy! 😂😂😂 You know, I AM enjoying this series, but, in a way I don't think the makers intended it to be 😎🇬🇧
@randywhite3947 Yeah, that may be the case, but when you read on the fact that reviewers, even the show runners were making out that this show was to be taken 'More Seriously' for factors like a decent feminine lead, more hard core action, more like a Mission Impossible film series than a 'Get Hard' comedy, you think... SERIOUSLY? These producers/show runners REALLY think THIS is how a decent 'Spy' show is supposed to be? Even the decisions that the characters make are just preposterous for supposedly 'Highly trained special services operatives'. And then, you add in the standard U.S. show 'Dramatic pauses' (where one character says something shocking and the other character just looks stunned in silence for 5/10 seconds). And then in the practice range Sydney, Vaughn, Nadia, Dixon and other characters can punch a 10 Cent hole in a paper sheet target, but yet, out in the field, can't hit the side of a bus! Just.... Funny! REALLY FUNNY! 🤣🤣🤣
Back when TV shows had movie-level cinematic quality (Alias, 24, Prison Break, Lost, Smallville, Deadwood) and shot on panavision super 35.
My thoughts exactly, well said! :)

That's the thing Alias 24 brought the Spy genre back into the new millennium

This give me nikita and chuck vibes. I am obsessed with those series!
This'll be right up your alley then. They even mention this show in Chuck! lol
@@GianniGuy No way! That's so cool
At the time I was totally hooked on this series. I was obsessed.
Me too
Great work. Damn this show had some cool stunts. Makes me want to rewatch.
I own season 1 on DVD & its great to watch, & Jennifer Garner rocks in this series. Sydney Bristow was the predecessor for Le Femme Nikita.
