The reason the notebook had weather options is because in korea, elementary students have journal assignments (Called 'ilgi') where they write about their day. It is common for them to comment how the weather was, similar to a diary.

when I was little, my mom used to make me write journal entries in those exercise books, and I remember spending ten minutes each time just trying remember what weather we had on that day, it drove me crazy!

@simonandmartina the first one is a diary notebook for kids grade 1-3ish. they write their journals, and they can also write their school schedule on the back cover because they have that chart there. they use it for that, and during the holidays kids have vacation homework involving diary, book reports, math, science and various other stuff, so Korean kids have specific notebooks for almost every specific category of homework (can tell it's for kids because the space of the line is huge)

Maybe the writing on the exercise-book is trying to say that - its enemy is itself , like when you're competing or something, you are trying to be better than yourself every time you compete/practice and that's why there's a snowboarder there... kind of like in purple line, it says "I wanna touch myself," they mean they want to 'get in touch with themselves' (or at least that's what I read someplace). Either way its funny though. I'm also addicted to cute stationary so I enjoyed this WTF a lot.

In Korea, every elementary school students are required to write a diary every single day. You turn your diary in like once a week. Teachers read, grade, and comment on your diary. So diary is a daily homework for elementary school kids in Korea. What happens if you don't write your diary? You get your hands whipped by the 'cane of love.'

Simon and Martina, you may not know this since you taught/teach junior/high schoolers in Korea, but elementary school students are required to keep a diary or journal and write in it everyday what they did. It's part of their homework :) They make all kinds of cute diary/journals so the grade school kids can pick out which one they want :3

I remember that here in mexico (at least when I was still a child, I don't know about now) there were this awesome rulers that had water with glitter and figurines, I would be like an hour just moving the water to see the glitter shine!! Also there were this pens that had a bubble making thingy, along with a totally awesome ink color :D
