Now, can you mix the awesome feel this level had with DFM, debris, the high-octaine TopGun style music and sepctactular visuals? I sure do want to! (Oh, yeah, I forgot to note in my previous post that the remake had the same music with the original too, according to my intel from Acepedia)
Its a good mix. . . I like it. Now its just the difficulty of finding someone who has also mixed an instrumental version of this with Dogfight. I think that would bring back that classic orchestra beauty that is Ace Combat.
I have both "Fighter" and "Gotta Stay Fly" on my iTunes. I've been trying to play "Fighter" on my laptop, and play "Gotta Stay Fly" on UA-cam for a remix. Then I find this. THANK YOU!!

Well, Project ACES did say this game was more of an experimentation. Anyway, the good(?) news are that ACES are now on a "Let's remake it, but tons more awesome!!!" spree. They've already remade Ace Combat 2 for 3DS, called Assault Horizon Legacy (and Cross Rumble in Japan), with ACAH graphics (sorta) and gameplay. And it turned out pretty good. It wasn't on rails like ACAH and it had the classic awesomness of Ace Combat. Can't wait to see their next projects!!!
I think I just found the alternate end credits theme for my Joint Assault fanfic (as in my canon, Joint Assault takes three years after Assault Horizon).
rap can co-exist with classical epics, but you need the intelligence and sense or rhythm to write lyrics that fit the music. what i think happened is that the developers decided at the last minute that they wanted an ending theme and they didn't have the time or money to hire someone with talent to compose an ending theme and probably turned to "that guy" in the office, you know the guy who thinks he can rap because he won a karaoke contest once.

Yes, I'm aware that he didn't say "this is the best Ace Combat soundtrack ever!". However, most veterans of the game will agree that there's something... "off" about the soundtrack for this game. And also that when compared to the others, this is at most "average" when compared to the classics. But that's just my honest opinion.

AC 5's story was my favorite, and I love how it's linked to Zero!
