Don't you think cocopeat is a bit overrated? I'm doing gardening since 1986 and never used cocopeat till i started making some succulent trays. I grow petunias, geranium, gazania, Begum bahar, pensy, and many more with in the potting soil mixture of normal tub soil and vermi compost. My garden never disappoined me in any season. Infact cocopeat is a wrong choice coz it holds unnecessary water which damages the hairy roots of the planets. This component is actually made for hydroponic farming but we are using it everywhere unnecessarily. Yes of course plants like rubber plant, succulents, aglonimas & jade plants we can use cocopeat but again back in 80's my father used to Grow all the mentioned plants on normal soil in our garden. Our property was filled up with red soil from the hills as it was a pretty deep from the road level in Guwahati. He used to grow all of them on the ground and the only fertilizer he used to use is dry cowdung that came from our very own Cow barn. 🙏
Dry cow dung is very good. Coco peat also has its merits in providing porosity and more water retention. You dont need to water so frequently. Which is actually good.
@@moushumigoswami7654 for places like Israel yes it is. But in India it has massive flaws.. we usually grow plants which die due to root rotting if the soil holds water for 2-3 days. I agree it differs climate wise but every climate grows it's own plants which bloom their best.. Doens't matter how hard u try u just can't afford to grow ROSES Assam like they grow in Punjab. I live in Assam and i see no importance of cocopeat, perlite or any kind of such situated materials required to grow even a succulent.. 👍
Well said, even I’m doing gardening since my childhood & prefer to use gardening soil, vermicompost and cow dung manure. Undoubtedly I got amazing results in my fruit garden & flowering plants. I don’t think we have to rush for the fansy things simple organic gardening is best to get high yield flowering & quality fruit production. I planted more than 150 fruiting tree with simple gardening soil & organic manure in my house all going great.
This seems to be a qualified gentleman with nice language and choice of words! The beautiful yellow floured one is not seen so often. For me, even non tissue cultured variety are great! I've seen even "wild" unattended neglected plants bloom with flowers best when it's hot and dry! All five tips are great! Thanks for the video!

Thank you so much for your generous words, it really means a lot to me 🙏 I would be continuing and thank you once again for the support 😊 Happy Gardening n tc 👍
Most helpful and informative!! I have built a trellis 350 ft long, 8 ft high of bougainvillea in pinks, purple, red. We are just entering the blooming time in Florida and this is year 2, so things are established and it is beginning to be stunning. I had problems with the large leaf variety and had to replace with small leaf. Your videos are so helpful and encouraging. I like to watch your daughter grow too!! Many thanks!!🌸🌸🌸
@Kavannah Light, 350 ft long, 8 ft high trellis..WOW and OMG...I can only imagine how it would look at the blooming time. Hats off to you, that's really great work 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Yeah, I am glad my daughter loves the plants a lot too and also love harvesting Strawberry..ha ha..Thank you So much for your words, I truly appreciate it a lot 🙏🙏 Happy Gardening and TC :-)

Goodmorning chandan, thank u v much for d excellent tips. I have 4 colors n they r blooming well as they get plenty of sunlight. I will prune them after d blooming is done. My late father n I r great fans of d florescent bougainvillea.
@jayashree murthy, I am sorry to know about your father...but at the same time, glad to know he was into gardening as well. You are right...the most important thing for Bougainvillea is Sunlight and again glad to know they are blooming well at your home, great work! Happy Gardening and TC :-)
@rita dutt, Pruning time - You can prune after they complete one blooming Cycle. Usually, they bloom more in late winter (Jan Mid - Feb) and we can prune them in March-April. Repotting - anytime can be done though in Winter, growth is slow. So, Spring-Summer would be ideal. Thank you :-)
