Warm greetings from Srutilaya, the classical Music and Dance club of BITS Pilani, Goa!
We are delighted to announce that we are holding Thyagaraja Aradhana,
our humble attempt at commemorating the Mahasamadhi of the great Saint Thyagaraja this Sunday, 29th October 2023, in the DLT 6 lecture theatre, BITS Goa, Sancoale, Goa, from 9:30 AM onwards.
Saint Tyagaraja was a revered and prolific Saint-composer of Carnatic Music, from the eighteenth century. He attained Mahasamadhi on Pushya Bagula Panchami. This occasion is widely commemorated in Carnatic music circles. Let us all celebrate the works and deeds of the great composer on this day.
