the pain in his voice. when i met the sheikh, I wasn’t dressed traditionally. not only did the sheikh approach me, but he approached me with open arms, refused my hand shake and hugged me instead. gave me his number and he told me to visit his home. at this time not only was my beard short, my hair braided, necklaces around my neck, and wearing flashy clothes. that day i was inspired to change my attire simply because sheikh suleiman’s love.

99% of the Ulema/Sheikhs of South Africa would've definitely given you the same response and approach that Sh Sulaiman gave you, I have seen this myself as I am living in South Africa and I associate with many Ulema/Sheikhs. His accusations and inferences towards South Africa Ulema/Sheikhs are extremely misleading.
Shaykh Sulaiman is an amazing scholar - Alhamdhulillah, met Shaykh for the first time around 9 years ago in Birmingham. At that time , I was drowning in depression, by grace of Allah ta Ala, my dearest Shaykh, SubhanaAllah an amazing personality-spoke to me and gave quality time, a world-renowned scholar but so simple and approachable - Alhamdhulillah Shaykh’s sermons are brimming with light, rich in content and motivating to one and all.
Salam Shaykh ,you always talk about how we should be kind to our parents and how our parents are everything. How dose one deal with an ungreatfull,toxic parent, a parent who dosent appreciate that I am a 40 year old grown up man who has his own family and children to take care off? A parent who doesn't appreciate anything you do for her,a parent who compares her own children, a parent who is emotionally abusive and blackmails her own grown up married children

Many have made gradual transition from low level to high level in spirituality. Unfortunately they want to impose their long years acquired high level spirituality to the ordinary people. They forget they were also in the same situation and low level of spirituality some time ago. Thank you sheikh for your clearity on the matter. This is shafi Awudu your beloved in Allah from Ghana. I love you for the sake of Allah.
This speaker is accusing the SA Ulema/Sheikhs of imposing upon the ordinary people, this is grossly mistaken and brazenly false as I have seen and associated with many Ulema/Sheikhs from SA (I Live in SA, Among Ulema/Sheikhs) they are very extremely accommodating to all levels of people and embrace them and guide them with Love and care as I am a recipient of that very Love and care from 99.9% of Ulema/Sheikhs of SA.

I wanted to become a scholar in Islam or atleast a student...
but with the jealousy of existing so called scholars daees with their narrow minded gang
and haraam police who know Islam in only 1 chapter ..this got me discouraged...
as if Islam is limited to one school of thought only.. and u can't think outside of the box
Shaykh, many before you have been criticized even sent outside of Islam
by their contemporaries or jamaat or prison..don't be discouraged don't hope nor expect anything from people
You will be hurt by those closest to you. People will call u Shaykh, brother, daee, doctor, akhi...but also some will give bad titles
BTW Islam did not say that u should always be with a cap and kurta etc...feel free to live ur life as muslim.

Be weary of the line between following leniency and following nafs, this line is a very thin one. Being Lenient doesn't mean compromising on the rules of Islam. TV and Pictures are haraam it's Haraam finish no further discussion this is in line with leniency. Islam followed in its entirety is very moderate and lenient. But some persons Wana bend the rules of Deen for nafsaani purposes and then calls it lenient.
What is your proof for saying TV Haram
