This is heartbreaking. As a Yoruba man who respects the Igbo people, I believe healing is essential for progress. Embracing peaceful dialogue over conflict can unlock the East's potential, as true unity is the foundation of growth. Many Igbo have succeeded outside their home states, yet there's untapped greatness within. Letting go of past wounds and working together will help foster trust, remove marginalization, and build a brighter future for all. Every nation has a past, but only those who look forward can thrive.

@@iykedanielsiyke6152Absolutely. We all wanted Obi seeing him win even in places like Lagos or Nasarawa was unprecedented and showed the potential for real change. Yet, the same tactics were used to upturn things in last election our past was used against us as a people again. Now more than ever, we need unity to overcome these obstacles. Obi's success, even in northern states, is a powerful sign of what's possible if we let go of old grievances. Violence won’t solve anything; it only brings more loss, especially for the Igbo community. Let's stay hopeful, united, and committed to peaceful change.
Everyone felt cheated this time so we could know how it was.

In 2023 Peter Obi an Igbo man emerged as LP presidential candidate and was the most popular candidate in 2023 presidential election. I and my entire family from Calabar, Cross River State voted for Peter Obi. Chukwuemeka Soludo his home state governor mounted every roadblock against Peter Obi. Dave Umahi, Orji Uzo Kalu said that the Igbos were not reap for Igbo president. Uzo Kalu had the ambition of becoming Senate President at the expense of Peter Obi. These Igbo politicians all came out against Peter Obi, only the Ohanaeze Ndigbo were at the forefront of Obi's campaign.
The Igbos need to unite against the forces that divides them instead of working for their oppressor's. You cannot complain when you're making yourself a ready tool to be used against your own people.
The South West people treat people badly when you submit yourself to them as tool against your people.

States and Local Governments get their own fair share from the Federation Account as provided in the constitution. In as much as I agree with you to an extent, the fact is that States are not responsible for devaluation of the naira, States are not responsible for Nigeria not being able to produce at least 2.5 million barrels of crude to find it's budget, States are not responsible for the price of PMS today and the states are not responsible for Nigeria not having a functional Refinery as an oil producing Country. I believe that there's a little the States can do if the federal government fails to do the right things. The level of inflation we have today is not caused by the States.

@@Odo-PECSorry you are wrong. Nigerian states by borrowing money, has also contributed to the devalution of our currency; so has Nigerian citizens, who buy foreign made goods/products, including cars. Nigerians do not patronize the goods they use. Nigeria realies on imported goods, and exports little. Tinubu made the right choice to stop borrowing money to defend the currency and instead allow the market to determine its value. Governors need to explain why many are still borrowing money, despit seeing the allocation they get from the FG increase by 40%. BTW Price of PMS is also determine by the value of the currency. Inflation was global, with food/gas prices, increasing due to Covid affecting the supply chain, however most of Africa, not just Nigeria, is seeing it the worse, due to how few goods countries export. Borrowing money subsidize fuel, makes zero sense and again Tinubu made the right choice to get rid of it. Nigerians do not hold their state officals accountable, do not patronize the goods the use, do not want to pay taxes(in fact pay the least in Africa), yet expect the country to move forward😂😂

This’s unacceptable to continuously exempt the IGBOS from running their country, this’s xenophobic enough to disrupt the unity of this great country Nigeria. The rate at which our leaders are running this country demands reflection, we can not continue to bastardise the same people since the civil war. This country is not meant for YORUBAS and the HAUSAS alone. Why’s it so difficult to allow IGBOS to come upstream and take the direction of this nation. I pray we don’t have serious consequences for abandoning our own people of the South East- they are Nigerians like others. This’s why Nigeria is still struggling to get things right, because after years of independence, Nigerians are unable to feed themselves, insecurity everywhere, inflation, famine etc etc

The Americans fought a civil war like Nigeria did in the past and the Americans have moved on to the extent the present generation do not even know who their forefathers fought against in the same country. However, in Nigeria, the so-called fathers are still fighting a WAR that ended years before many generations were born. Hence, it just means that the war never ended and will eventually consume the country called Nigeria.

Now this power sharing is regulated by the exclusive, concurrent and residual list. The chunk of everything lies in the exclusive list which is handled by the federal government. Eg economy, economic system, currency, minerals, raw materials, exchange, military etc. And you're telling me that the problem of Nigerians do not come from the federal government? Who determines what goes to states and local govt? Who appoint ministers of the federation? Who determines what the economy should be? If Fg wants fuel to be 3000 naira today, it will be. And you're saying governors and reps are where we should focus. Yes, they're part of the problem but the correction should start From FG so that adjustments can happen. When the world was complaining about Abacha and Idi Amin, didn't these 2 men have good military governors in some of their states? They did but the head determines what the body is.
Even in America that we're praising for the prioritisation of welfare of citizens. There are some local counties and mayors that may not be performing well. But the overall policies and agendas of the federal govt in Washington is what makes American citizens smile or cry. FG is the problem

Mazi Abaribe should stop using subservient language (e.g. "treat us") in addressing those using state power to pursue ethnic vendetta against Igbo people in Nigeria. The Nigerian state is operated by humans, our fellow blacks for that matter. So, Abaribe's use of language is inappropriate, not fit for purpose and will only embolden them.
He should be using appropriate robust language to give a clear message that those plotting Igbo downfall are deluded and that Igbo resistance to state persecution will continue to hinder any progress in that state. He should also match word with action by staging protests, walkouts etc. in protest over the exclusion of Igboland in the construction of railways using Chinese loans and callon the Chinese to avoid loans where sections of the recipient country are excluded. Abaribe should call on Igbos to repudiate the loans unless the injustice is corrected. he should stop begging to be treated with fairness when dealing with people with no moral compass and whose sense of justice is poorly developed.
