Come on man, Jon screamed more than he sang in the 80s. Is it really any wonder his vocal chords got so damaged that he had to use steroids to keep going back then? Add smoking, aging and a genetic precondition for a deep voice (listen to his dad speak) and of course he's not gonna be able to hit the same notes as he did in 1983. But this was still a very solid performance.

Your videos are like stalkers videos, it’s quite disturbing. Jon isn’t the only member of the band, why not film Richie during a solo? Especially a pre slippery song as they never perform these songs. Film the band as whole not just a creepy home video stalking one person.
Makes me sad to hear the mush of staggered notes in the lead solo from a Sambora who let alcohol eat his abilities up. This song has a fantastic solo -- a solo sadly that Richie can't play well anymore.
Over theri career, that is a BS statement. They have been amazing live. They still are, but JBJ can struggle with the vocals on a lot of the old stuff, which is common with many bands. This is the first time they had done this song in 25 years. His range has changed.
I'm glad he swallows his pride and plays this stuff. If not for those first 2 releases I would have never been a Bon Jovi fan I don't believe.
He played them very briefly on this tour and then he went back to playing "the hits." Love those first two albums!

They always play it at least half a step lower live. I think here it's a tuned down a full step. Plus he was 27 years younger when they recorded it :D
