The lack of pre-painted faces SPECIALLY hurts expressive characters like Chu Chu, who is so colorful and loud on pretty much all of her appearances. I'm hoping they start adding more pre-painted faces, (although I do love the decal sheets too), specially because it seems they're gonna keep making more Gundam girls, with the upcoming Lunamaria kit
The lack of pre-painted face options are the reason why I tend to avoid Bandai girl kits. Other companies are including at least 3 pre-painted faces with each kit. But with Bandai and the kit price at least 2 faces.
Love the look of this kit, the squatting pose is hilarious and I love it. Missed out on getting the kit from HLJ so I’ll pick one up when my local retailer gets it.
Chuchu is popular because she is the modern day return of the "Sukeban"/delinquent girl archetype with the other being Ryuko Matoi from Kill La Kill, also in WFM the phones used by the students double as activation keys for their personal Mobile Suits which is probably a reference to Gundam Breaker Mobile as the characters use their phones as a device to operate their Gunpla for battle.
Definitely a very fun kit to pick up as a newcomer to the line. She’s my first modern figure rise kit that I’ve picked up and building her was super fun. Amazing option parts for most of everything you want to display her with. Eye decals are tricky for noobs like me tho, so my alignment wasn’t 100%. A very nice thing I’ve found is that she scales almost perfectly with the SH Figuarts offerings, so plus points for me!
What do you mean those are just hair ? Everyone knows they're homing rockets and can be attached with thrusters- effect parts to recreat the scene she fired in the anime
At latest hobby next show, Bandai showcased the colored prototype for FRS Ple Two alongside HG Bolinoak Sammahn and HG Psycho Gundam Mk II. Maybe we will get more detailed information sooner for next few months.
Well, if the pricing of the 30MS pre-painted faces is accurate and not just Bandai scamming people, then 3 of those faces alone would take up 30% of the cost of this kit.
