Thank you for sharing. Your skills using your equipment are a pleasure to watch. When I was doing my apprenticeship MANY moons ago we were taught mediocre skills using lathes, mills etc.. Of course with passage of time, even those mediocre skills have all but been lost in mists of time! Watching your video bought much back to mind. Thank you.
The castings are great! I have been working on the parts and almost have it done. It is funny however to go to great lengths to make a part and then watch your video and think...Why did I not do it like that? Next time. Great videos my friend. Looking forward to the next project. Larry
Well done myfordboy. Are you going to do any more metal casting? I love watching you doing metal casting. Seen all of your video & can't get enough of your awesome work
Sorry but as a lot of time was spent on the design, patterns, castings and videos etc I only supply plans with the castings. Releasing digital copies make it easy for others to publish them too as happened with some of my free plans.
As usual, an amazing video. Thank you! :-) I do have some questions, however - what about the cleaning up? How do you do this? With an air compressor or just a brush, or a shop-vac? And how often? After each operation? To us complete novices, it would be nice to know just how much time goes into that part. :-)
+Mikael Roupe I use a shop vac to remove the swarf from lathe and mill. Just clean it off as it builds up, not after every operation. I'll give it a good clean after finishing a major part or after machining iron.
Thank you for sharing.

Nice to see you working, so nice to see that you don't need fancy CNC to build things. Thank you for the video's.

Hi mate. Nicely done, as always. It's a little like Clickspring (a youtube cannel) for the hearing impaired. ; )
Always great video! Question: Why did you line up the crank at the 6:00 position with the piston at midpoint?
+JC S The crank is at it's mid position at 6'o clock and so is the piston. Any other position the piston would hit the end of the cylinder.
+myfordboy Thanks! Always great video and I learn something in each one!
myfordboy vvvvv
The allen wrench, which the cylinder bolted on, is not Glock front sight wrench? Size looks like it ...
Love it! 😊
Great progress, I'm "Speechless" lol
Great work
Is the casting kit and plans in metric or imperial,
+Jimo Richo The plans are imperial, e.g. 1.125"
Very interesting
Now do the boiler.
