Today is go buy some pea seeds for the garden....first planting was too early, we had a cold wet snap and nothing came up. Try again....gonna buy some sweet pea seeds too... love those....

Happy Saturday Jeff, thank you for sharing your nursery trip. I went to go to and buy some banana trees at my local nursery and they had all died. The owner said to check back in six weeks....

I wanted to be IN that nursery so bad! I've never seen such beautifully grown plants. I'll have to settle for my own nursery but it's cold and rainy today so not a good one for outdoor browsing. After your last great haul, I ordered some African Violets from The Green Escape and I'm pretty sure I'll be back there soon. Great haul, Jeff. Pool area looks so spiffy clean already. Exciting stuff going on!

@@TropicalPlantParty Well our “ kitten “ goes into heat every three to four weeks and she’s driving us crazy ! I need to make an appointment to get her spayed. The responsible thing to do but dang it’s so expensive and they wonder why more people don’t get their animals fixed. 🪻💚🙃

A couple of weeks ago the weather was perfect to get out in the garden, I did pull a few weeds and planted some daffodils 🤞🏻. Now there’s snow on the ground and I’m itching to get out there to bury my dog and figure out where I’m going to put the shrub roses I bought. Yes my baby ( dog ) is in the freezer she was tiny 😢😇, I just want to find the perfect place to bury her and add a little memorial. 🪻💚🙃
That's how it is here during March. Early in the month everything is beautiful and perfect for planting, then end of the month it all goes south and the comes back. Annoying!

I started 50 alyssum seeds, we will see how many of them make it. I love alyssum, and I have a rather large area to fill up. I’m also trying to start some perennials too, we will see how that goes 🤞🏻🪻💚🙃

Lots of cool stuff! Always love your nursery shopping trips. Chinese fan palms are my fav. Mine here in panhandle of Florida have survived mid 20s for a few nights in both ground and pot. I’m considering buying some Borneo giants myself. Your right about regal shields are very cold tolerant

They've been common here for as long as I can remember. Usually sold with the annuals as fillers in 4 inch pots, or just twigs mixed in as assorted terrarium plants 🤷♂️

Pretty sure that I’m going to be starting more seed today. I’ve made some paper towel pots so I can grow sweet peas in them, just pop them in the ground, no disturbing the roots, I’m hoping it works out and they don’t fall apart on me. 🤞🏻🪻💚🙃
Sweet peas are so fun! We get so many swings from cold to hot that they never do well for me. Maybe in my front yard they'd do be ok since their isn't all of that pavement radiating the sun at them on those random hot spring days.

When I was a kid my mom and dad use to take me for rides, we would always end up at one of my aunt and uncles homes . Now that I think back I HOPE that we didn’t just show up there, I hope that they called to see if it was alright just to drop over. I guess it was alright back then because people weren’t as busy as they seem to be now days. The reason for this little tidbit of information stems from contractors just showing up whenever. ☹️🪻💚🙃
Family and friends can drop by whenever. I'm cool with that, I even welcome it, but not people coming to work where I may need to empty an area, move furniture, lock up the animals etc. It's just crazy to me! So many companies have been giving appointments where they just say they'll be out the week of blah blah and not an exact date. Tf is that!
I sure hope my alocasia bulb / tuber and caladiums show up soon so I can get them started, otherwise their not going to amount to much this year. 🪻💚🙃 I can’t remember but I think my alocasia is a Borneo giant 🤞🏻🪻💚🙃
