The right thing now of course is to stay on and clear up the problems before handling over the government in good shape. it would also be a valuable exemplary lesson to showcase to the younger leaders how the government or party solve its problems. Surely PM Lee and his very experienced senior ministers would be able to overcome these setbacks and put Singapore in order before they leave the scene. The issue becomes even more significant considering that Tan Chuan-Jin was the Speaker of Parliament, a position wielding considerable authority. In any democracy, it’s crucial that political leaders are held to the same standards of accountability and transparency.
The Opposition must learn too! When they see good leaders they must think and act to becoming like them. And when they see leaders that are not good, they must reflect on their own weak points. They too face problem of infidelity in their own party. You can't throw stone when you are living in glass houses.

Considering that a minister wields significant power, any delay in cutting off Iswaran's access to official resources may hinder the investigations, making his case more time-sensitive than TCJ's.
