This was one of the single best things I saw at Cycle con this year besides my new Velomobile. This is EXACTLY what is needed to get younger people in to riding trikes and or recumbents and was neglected seriously for too long. I have been saying it would be nice to see offerings on a much smaller scale for children.
No they are legal here as they are a tricycle under State law. I owned Rotovelo previously which was perfect and fit my needs for 6 years getting into Velomobiles before I went with this one. @Navy1977
I have three grandkids ages 6,8,10 that love to ride on my trikes. The ten year old is almost big enough to do it on his own. This holiday season there will be a trident for the two, younger ones to,use in the spring!
@@GarySolomon my kids cycle with me all of the time . I have them doing the 14 mile round trip on the cape cod canal. They get the big ice cream reward after finishing. They love the trikes also. I,put a chain tensioner on my 559 so the 10,year old can ride it as he is about 5 feet tall. The little guys will love the trident. I am going o,look for a used Catrike Pocket as an alternative and put a chain tensioner on it to make it fit the little ,guys.
It's always interesting to see what Tom Flohr comes up with that's new each year. I'm still hoping to be able to buy a Trident Trikes Odyssey some day ! 👍
Hopefully introducing trikes for children leads to the same explosion that old fashioned kick bikes for kids lead to "grown up" (electric) kick bikes for adults some years later.

@Navy1977 I pre ordered one of the Bulk's that Jan brought to Cycle Con. Mine was the green and blue one with white hood.

Hey Mark-I've got 5 under 9 yo and they love riding out two KMX trikes. The Half Pint seems much nicer and more refined.
