Maybe a good follow-up question is to ask when LF shutters changed from the 2-post flash sync connection on the Graphex/Wollensak shutters common on stock Graflex lenses over to the more common PC-sync port used today. (That being said, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if you could get an adapter from someone like Paramount Cords to convert the 2-post sync connection to a PC connection.)
Hey Nico, I was wondering if it is possible to mount a lens that is in a SINAR board to a normal shutter and board. I find a lot of these on Ebay, but they got the weird Sinar shutter system.
Thanks for your help, Nico! -I will search around for a pristine Claron G 150 because I plan to use a Graflex enlarger for printing, I don’t plan to shoot wide open, and I’d love to keep the Graflex portable. eBay is sparse at the moment so if any of you here have a shelf queen in a modern shutter sitting neglected then let me know. Otherwise, I’ll hunt for a Sironar N.- Turns out there might be an adapter to use PC sync so I will try that out first and save up for a better lens like the Rodenstock you recommended next Christmas.
A Graflex Crown Graphic with a 135 Optar will likely have a Graphex Shutter with BiPost Synch connector (no American made shutter ever had a PC Synch - if you find one, it's been reworked). Paramount Synch Cords in the USA still makes and sells cords for BiPost.
@@jonathanmora6728 Yes, it did work! I shot a series of 4x5 flash portraits of my friend and made contact prints. Beautiful results. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble connecting to the site again. Hopefully you can still order there.
Do you know where I can find a female bi-port to PC sync cable I can connect my Wollensak Pro Raptar 210mm F5.6 to my flashpoint 600 trigger. Any suggestions?
Excelente vídeo! Lo que en realidad buscaba. ahora solo tengo que saber como se hace el set up para disparar con flash en un estudio. Gracias por todo lo que haces por la comunidad analógica!
I would very careful about mentioning the Sinar (S for N and SE for S) and Caltar versions of the Sironar lenses as you may induce people into buying the wrong lens. Maybe you should have a super film support follow up on this topic.
Agreed! The Rodenstock S-Sironar 150mm is truly a brilliant lens. Excellent video!

Wow, I'm glad I read this. I am going to try this first because if it works then I won't bother buying a new lens.

Thank you! I saw this and Derek's comment. I am getting a chord expedited now. If it works I'll stick with this lens for now.

Where do you recommend buying large format lenses from? The Rodenstock Apo-Sironar-S seems great, I'm just not sure where I should look to buy one.
Not many places have them, I usually go for Ebay.
