Great video. My CA49 was delivered assembled and it's nice to see how it was done. From our angle you guys are not the nervous types it seems - when placed on the corner of the shipping box it seemed inches away from dropping down to the floor
The screws should first be turned in by hand until a resistance is felt. When you are sure that the position is correct, then you can use an electric screwdriver to tighten it.
Great vid. Thanks.. Written instructions are the BACK of the user manual. Ignore the instructions on the little leaflets just inside the box. You will definitely need someone else to carry box into your house and to help you with the piano on to the stand want to set up just like these two guys that you can see here in the video. Great video. No black screws on mine they were silver screws as I have the white piano. Four short screws go along the bottom of the backboard and the four long ones are for sides. Careful when plugging in the connector for the foot pedals look closely at the alignment of the pins and the socket.. etc...gently but firmly. Sounds very good.
Thanks for great video !!! What kind of idiots at Kawai came up with the idea to not tap an analog line out ? So I have to preamp a line out with the headphones jack what a pia. Why did I not know that before purchase ? I did but the next pricepoint up was 800 dollars more and this is a 50 dollar at most, fix. Still it is butt stupid for a 2k plus DP to not have a line out.
Hi there. We do recommend being two persons when picking up the main piece as it is rather unhandy to try carrying it yourself. It weighs around 35 kg. But we won't stop you trying, if you really believe in yourself :)
I get my CA 49 today, and it's awesome, but i realized that strings, chorus or jazz organ sounds doesn't work properly with sustain/damper pedal like on the piano sounds (if you press a ley on strings with the damper activated it doesn't keep sounding all the time), this is normal or the damper pedal is not working properly? Thanks
@@Digitalpianocom I'm so confused by this because everything I can find says a bench is included, but I can't figure out what the bench is like, every video that talks about a bench is conflicting.
@@blazecall In our area the Kawai Bench is only included with the White Ash colour, which was an anniversary model. It's a nice bench in my opinion and a little different from regular benches. You can see a picture of the bench here: www.kawai-global.com/mgr/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/img_ca49_design_top_930x550.jpg
The benches are included I believe with a package deal called SET as in CA49 Set... These are correspondingly more expensive than the piano on its own.. obviously.
Hi Ghulam, I would say that it is all about preference. The keys from Kawai are usually softer to play and in some way easier, and then Yamaha's keys are more firm and "harder" to play. But all feel very natural and good in my opinion.

There is no better introduction for such an instrument than to play Liebesleid as the first piece. Thank you for the video!:)
I just absolutely love my CA49!!!!
Thank you! This was very helpful information that I used immediately upon arrival of my CA-49, esp. Assembly part.

Today i bought CA 49. This video really helped me for assembling. Thanks for video.

Great Video!

Was the main top piece heavy? Would it be too much of a challenge for one person pick it up?

Way too heavy for me.. plus it has to be gently aligned and placed onto the little stand you have just constructed..phew
@@ralphhardie7492 wish me luck i have to get 3 story in my appartement 💀
Good unboxing! What do you thing about difference between sample Kawai PHI and HI XL listening with headphones and in air ? Thank you
Is the pedal of CA49 pretty stiff? My friend got one it’s extremely hard to step and press on it.
im considering getting ca49, has it gotten better you heard?
that’s normal for new pianos
Name of the last piece?!

There's a setting in the menu to assign the pedal.
@@mikee7534 thanks for the reply, i couldn't find that setting, could you tell me exactly where i find it?
@@walterezequiel6394 Hmmm, I see a setting for it in the CA59 but not the 49 now that I check the manuals online.
@@mikee7534 thanks Mike, it seems that it is "normal" on the CA 49, i can live with that, the piano sound is amazing anyway. Thanks!
The sustain function doesnt work the same way on the strings sounds as on the piano sounds :)
how can you get the pedal to work?
Where's the bench?

Can you comment on the grand feel compact action? how does it compare to the yamaha gh3 or nwx?

It does not look like a good idea to place the keyboard on the corner of shipping box
Next video , unboxing a toaster .....
