      Thanks for the kind words! I’ll try and earn all the subscribers I can! This has been a learning experience for sure. As long as I can have fun and learn to improve, I’ll keep doing the videos. I only wish I could get them out faster. I’ll be experimenting a bit with ways to present 3D printing in a more “infotainment” style. Thanks for the support!

    QUESTION: Do white prins have uv color degadation say, if i leave this little pal in my balcony to give a spooky vibe will it last white even though the sun hits it directly? or should i give it a coat of uv resitant enamel? anyways nice print my dude cheers

      Honestly, I'm not sure, we keep ours indoors. It looks like there is filament you can get that is UV-resistant, but I've not used it. I would be scared that someone would run off with it if you left it outside! 😱

    I am new to all this. I am looking to buy a 3d printer for the first time. What kind of 3d printer do i need for making this (and the flowers and other giant figs)? Preferably something easy to learn to use and whatever is the best value aka cheapest I can get away with using. We would also use it to print my son's plastic battlebots robot parts too. And of course other fun things. Thanks.

    Great video, great content . I printed this with my daughter and we have had a great time, the only problem is the face, would you remember the setting for the eyes, nose and mouth? we have had so many failures and I left with a faceless friend haha. keep up the good work

    • @3dchill
      @3dchill  Рік тому +1

      I should have made a segment about the face. It took me a few tries, but I found the best way was to print it upright but with a brim and supports on the edges of the mouth to help anchor it to the bed. Check the timelapse of the mouth being made @ 2:12. Hope that helps!

      @@3dchill 8th time was the charm haha the secret was the brim, and printed everything separate seemed to work at last. thanks for the suggestion and help. keep the videos coming they are fun. next mat be the mushroom lamp

      @@foomanloo thats great! Im curious to see if the mouth piece snaps right into place for you like it did for me. I've read that the mouth doesnt curve 100% with the head, and that you'll need glue to keep it flush.

    How do you get your prints from your bed?
    Mine prints are breaking every time

    • @3dchill
      @3dchill  Рік тому +2

      Are you using glue or an adhesive, I'm not? After a print is done I let the glass bed cool, it sometimes pops off on its own. If you need to get the part off right away (which is most of the time), make sure to have a very thin spatula/scraper, and gently tap on it while wedging it under the print. Patience is key, you could damage your print by being rough.

    how much filament did this take?

    • @3dchill
      @3dchill  Рік тому +2

      It took 275m/814g, or roughly 80% of a roll (according to my year-old notes!)
