- From March 30, 2004: Contestants bid and play games for cash and prizes described by current Wheel of Fortune announcer Jim Thornton.
You may notice a very small moment I did not edit out due to Pinnacle Studio 12 capturing glitch.
I miss you Bob Barker, your the greatest host of the Price is Right.
Bob barker is still alive today at 95 years old!! Bless his heart ❤️.
He turned 96 in December.
He's 98! He'll be 99 in December! Hoping he makes it to 100
Jim Thornton is now on Wheel Of Fortune.
He sure does
His "Promotional consideration provided by," was awesome the last ten years. He is sooooooo awesome!!
I couldn't even tell that was Jim until I read the description, he sounds so different in this.
Jim Thornton is the second Wheel of Fortune cast member who was on The Price Is Right. The first was, of course, Vanna White who was called to "Come On Down!" back in 1980.
Rich Fields as well. He was the best with Bob Barker.
Jim Thornton was with CBS, since 1996. Stephanie Simmons took his place, on CBS 2 News This Morning.
Paul LaRue well, until he was on wheel, I’d still say he was with CBS. After he did CBS 2, he went to CBS Radio (now Entercom Communications) and did news for KNX, if you remember.
He still periodically fills in on KNX. He anchored during the Christmas season in 2019 when a bunch of people were on vacation. But Mike Simpson and Karen Adams are the regular afternoon anchors now. (And Mike co-hosts KNX In Depth with Charles Feldman from 1p-2p before pairing up with Karen.)
Bob Barker was the best host of the price is right
And cats ARE the most precious animals in the world
This is a side of Jim Thornton I haven't seen!
Jim Thornton is amazing but does an incredible job as Announcer on Wheel of Fortune
To John Lee: Would you want Rich to be hired as Jim's fill-in in case of illness?
I was born on that day
18:05 Aww, that's one beautiful cat!
That's right Joe she's adorable.
joejoeevans trill trill?
i miss bob being on the show
Kenneth Mcvay Me Too.
The show hasn't been the same since he left.
Bob Barker was the legend of the show!
@@taronjeroneharris1313 drew carey
No. This episode was aired shortly before Rich became a permanent announcer.
Producers of the show and CBS should've named Burton Richardson as Permanent Announcer since he filled in for a lot of shows during Rod's absences! He was a way better choice to succeed Rod Roddy than Rich Fields
6:45 Bob: One dolla :p
does anybody know why the old ten chances had buttons that looked like red cheeseburgers?
Looking at this, you may be right--he sounds different here than on Wheel. Rich may have been also good for Wheel (but now that I think about it, his Wheel voice was exactly the same as his Price voice).
He didn't have the shrill scream on Wheel that he had on Price. I found the end of the 11/22/10 game & didn't recognize that it was him when he did the THOUSAND dollars emphasise.
Me Too :/
But He had to retire
:12 I didn't know Nothing likes The Price Is Right........
I wanna buy a vowel :D
He's perfect for TWOF but not so much for TPIR.
Jim is cool i remember him on wheel
He is. His voice reminds me of Jack Clark. He was perfect for Wheel seeing as Jack Clark was the announcer for WOF before he died.
YAY! :D
