It’s still sad how Disney didn’t see the full potential of Toontown. Could have been what Club Penguin is now (or at least was until it was shut down too)
On the wikipedia page for toontown online (its wiki so take it with a grain of salt) it states that "there have been consistant meetings to talk about toontown recorded since 2016" it has also bee reported by many they also include "about the state of disney games and the potential future" via jesse Schell's interview in TTR and even the comment he made on toontown central forums about how we should "keep telling disney we want it". Add to the cameo of cogs in the new ducktales (which is heavily tied to toontown in the disney days btw) I see disney is trying to revive it. After club penguin fell twice; it's only fair to go back on their best selling mmorpg. My concern here is, how they will do it? I worry for microtransactions and such. It's 100% they are still talking about it, but not confirmed if its being worked on or anything else. Their "Unannouced mmorpg" back in 2014 has yet to be revealed since they had a panel for disney universe at the same time AND even then when it closed this "unannouced mmorpg" servers seem to be running anyway. And that "leak" of toontown 2.0 showing the capabilities of unity (which has mobile support) and that club penguin used it for their latest interation. *TLDR* Pretty much ignoring all speculation and just the stuff recorded over 2014 to now (early 2018) There is confirmed an mmorpg being worked on by disney at some point, parts are being used; they previously were toontown servers AND the mobile idea is proven to work via club penguin; plus a lot of toontown fans are working for disney. Either they're working on a new toontown or they are talking about it.
@@dione2610 Yeah, it's a pity but sometimes speculation is just speculation. Still, it's always good to keep up hope. What with toontown corporate clash and other private servers around and disney making an avatar mmorpg (planned) the spirit still lives. It's not the same, but it's something ^^
It’s a shame TTO’s lore could never really be developed further just because of lack of funding!!! I’m obsessed with the story and style of Toontown so much.
EatMoPizza WB would put Looney Toons, and would change the name, and it wouldn’t make sense for Disney to have a Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland. It just wouldn’t be as good.
Hi! I've been watching your channel for a while and enjoy all your videos. I'd love to see one on what would've happened if it had been over funded, like you said towards the end. The idea for the "What if" series is great too, and I'd love watching that :) Keep up the amazing work!
It would've been nice but since we had to pay every month everybody would've been rushing trying to finish the game than to enjoy the game. You know it was a whole lot of ubers in tto at sellbot hq just to maxed three of their gag tracks😂😂 I used to be one of them until I had membership.
I wouldn't play tto if it was still out, cause you have to pay money for membership and to do things, so ttr is free so I like it when it is free I will not pay monthly for membership
If they were funding it well from the start then construction zone possibly wouldn't have been cut, then we probably wouldn't have acorn acres or it would be somewhere else.
i think tto would've made "cog nation" but this would have been as big as the original "toontown" idk but that does even tho i dont play tt anymore still sounds fun
YOu know, after toontown online shut down I just kept the spoofer with me on my old PC and Nightlife and just listened to the midi files on my spare time for a couple years then I got back into listening to music like that on Pandora and their midi versions....Then I heard Nightlife midis in Doom Wads... It's like a piece of toontown was still with me. (yeah I associate custom made midis to Toontown. Sue me.)
I believe that this game could be a popular game like it used to it ttr steps up its game by adding some of these things, hopefully corporate clash will bring some sense to tt remakers
hehe hindsight's 20/20 they say. Well, I think we need to remember why exactly Disney decided to close down TT: it became unprofitable. Why? Because the game plateaued for years and it's popularity was dwindling. In other words, TT was a ship that started sinking many years ago to the point where it was simply too late for Disney to do anything reasonable to keep it afloat. And no amount of money will fix that...
Roughbladez That's really because Disney cut corners too much and forced a payment system instead of micro transactions and daily limits on exp caps of they really wanted players to buy membership. Not restrict all access after central.
Microtransactions would definitely have been an interesting idea though they weren't really a thing prior to ~2011, were they? I think the only major mmorpg I remember having microtransactions was Wizard101. But above all, Disney definitely were too restrictive on free players, the mmo scene was literally changing around them yet they were stuck in their ways!
Roughbladez Exactly. I feel if they weren't too restrictive they would have more players today, people like freedom in games and will be more inclined to purchase if they like something. The restrictions really didn't allow players to enjoy enough of the game to spend. I'm looking at making a game called ToonVerse which is like a 2.0 of toontown but without any copyright issue as no toontown models or assets will be used unless unavoidable but the main thing I've learn from tto is not to restrict players but offer enhancements that they can buy
I don't know if they'd have been able to add enough. I think they could've overdone feature scope though. Meaning too many pointless things like field offices. They're cool, but not useful in any way. Imagine those games but incorporated in a cog nation area instead of what field offices came to be.
most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely good vid tho xd
And seeing as a multi-billion dollar corporation with actual professional game designers couldn't pull their game together in 12+ years, ttr isn't doing half bad ffs
Then I would still be paying for that bullcrap
baguette Brown there’s Toontown Rewritten, and it’s the same thing but free.
княуѕαlιѕ if tto was still around ttr wouldnt
We would see who was lying about having a 137 laff toon.
We have "rental" cog suit :V
Toontown has SO much potential. Also I have noticed a boost of players in the TTR server. Is this a new hope?
Cheesestar yes! I just started playing TTR today since I last played TTO before it shut down and I love it.
Cheesestar I started playing TTR again recently last week ^_^
I can't remember why I stopped playing it back then tho...that goes for both TTO and TTR
It’s still sad how Disney didn’t see the full potential of Toontown. Could have been what Club Penguin is now (or at least was until it was shut down too)
In that case, I'm happy it shut down when it did. That would've been a fate worse then death.
If TTO never shut down my main would still be permabanned LUL
wait why were you tho
LoopyGoopyG for using too many un-Christian words ;-;
coco that's a bad boy
LoopyGoopyG heck
My would be to for the same reason.
Dancing buildings would lag the shit out of my game.
yeah I imagine it's one of the reasons it didn't make it

Either they're working on a new toontown or they are talking about it.
the next biggest milestone for talks is switch unit sales
omg this deserves way more likes than it has
It didnt happen :(
This didn’t age well… with them just removing their gaming branch and all… ☹️

You should make a “What If?” series
I like that
What if Jesse Schell stayed on the team?
M
WELCOME TO TOONTOWN! WOULD YOU PERHAPS LIKE TO BUY OUR MERCH?
What if another company owned and operated Toontown? Say, Warner Bros or Universal?
EatMoPizza WB would put Looney Toons, and would change the name, and it wouldn’t make sense for Disney to have a Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland. It just wouldn’t be as good.
0:09 MOM IM FAMuS
Indeed
A Video on if Disney had over funded TTO is an interesting idea and a lot of work might/would be put into it. I am all for this idea!
Damn for only 10K this is a great edited and just great executed video. Keep it up

I really don’t want to pay for Toontown, i play so much that I’d be broke
This is a question I ask myself every day.
Interesting Question....
3:02 lol so many orange horses
I wouldn't play tto if it was still out, cause you have to pay money for membership and to do things, so ttr is free so I like it when it is free I will not pay monthly for membership
I've made it my job to tell you every video: Keep up the good work! Love your videos!
Thank you!
Make a What If series, I really enjoy your videos btw, keep it up.
I will, thanks :)

If toontown didn’t close then loopy’s balls wouldn’t have existed.
Thank god that it shut down because we need Loopy’s balls
I LOVE to eat Loopy’s Balls.
What if Toontown made a land based on every disney movie? like frozen
Would be wild if Toontown Online got ported to Switch somehow. But really, I'd be happy if they just returned it at all.
I believe that this game could be a popular game like it used to it ttr steps up its game by adding some of these things, hopefully corporate clash will bring some sense to tt remakers
So basically...they’d actually update the game.
I really wish they brought back the old toontown yk. With our old accounts. That would be sooooo amazing!
Harry Young they have had toontown rewritten for 4 years now.
We may have possibly gotten a Bill Cipher Boss Battle or Battles with other Disney Villains. Just saying. :P
The video i wanted more than anything that i could never put my finger on :D
What if Toontown was developed for a more mature audience, like instead of being rated E for everyone, being rated T for teen?
No Toontown House than... :(
Sweet! I hope ToonTown 2.0 comes to the switch
Isn’t there a toon town on pc or something?
Imagine: Toontown in Beautiful 4K HD 3 Made in unreal engine and shiet
Disney would probably change the design like club penguin
We’d have Toontown mobile and we’d still have to pay for more shitty membership
Yup, why I like the Rewritten version, I could never imagine paying in the original, though I think my older sister did back in the 2000’s.
What about the Cog Invasion in the Nutty River?
What if Toontown 2.0 was developed further?

I want to know why toon town rewritten isn’t implementing these?
If it was possible, do you think they could've been able to add TOO much to the game if they were still running?

Nice vid man
That day when you notice loopy doesn't even have 10k subs
*Creates 1000 Sub bots*
2 kind 2 kind
If Toontown online never closed I’d still be dumb because I’d still be 27 laff
What if the Chairman was in ToonTown.
Why Am I doing this to myself
*most likely*
yes
Maybe toontown didn't get shutdown in another universe
Well if it never shut down we would not have had a free toontown when toontown is free, toontown online cost 10 dollars
What if ToonTown was for 3DS/DS
I rather have unlockables than member pass
Good thing it's F2P now at least
Aka if toontown rewritten was owned by disney
Add real time fight option
Well, I like Corporate Clash.
I do too
does no one really knows whats the purpose for that tunnel thats closed in acorn acres? i feel like im the only one
I wonder what would it be like if tto was still up to this day
Play's the illuminati music
if tto never closed my account would be 12 years old
What would have been cog nation?
Haley angelo Cog nation might finally exist, but in toontown rewritten.
Awesome! What is it?
most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely, most likely
good vid tho xd
WTF !? Cards were in toontown too !?
Yep.
Um TTR staff? Take notes😂
If it didn't closed then... I be pissed cuz ttr is free and offers more
how much more does it truly offer
LoopyGoopyG UPDATES XD
If disney din't buy cp.
swell and swift.
then i'd be playing toontown online :o
before 1000, again...
im sad
that intro is sounds very posh
Next video should be "what if Toontown did shut down?"
and it's only my intro and outro
**insert comment on this video being posted on my birthday, which is so original**
happy birthday!
If tto never closed the update will be like runescape. Ruined
I think the og Toontown has better graphics than TT 2, but I guess its all about opinions
Someone needs to make a toontown 2
tew tow
Downside:
TT will still be *$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$*
Yes
ttr=free=better
seeing how it took years to add back features from the original game, no it's not
And seeing as a multi-billion dollar corporation with actual professional game designers couldn't pull their game together in 12+ years, ttr isn't doing half bad ffs
