Thanks for the tips, Daria. I love the "write it down" tip. When bowling leagues and tournaments, I don't know how many times I have found myself thinking, "Now, what did I do on the left lane that's different than the right?" Just jotting down simple notes makes a world of difference and takes a lot of guess work out of it.
Great advice. Love the confidence you speak with. So I know a few people that swell up a lot for early tournaments. Usually caused by dehydration, probably from too many drinks the night before. Have known a couple people who put their thumb in a potato. Sounds crazy but they swear by it. If my thumb feels swollen on my way to a tournament I opt to wrap a towel around it really tight for a few minutes. Take it off and then repeat. Has never failed me yet.
Similar to your napkin tip, you can use your shirt to do the same thing. I use this quite often and people look at me crazy when I tell them to try it but it works.
Wow, lighting up the skin patch on fire does look pretty scary. I had heard of that before but didn't believe it but now seeing you do it, I believe it. Not sure I'm brave enough to try though :)
Done that for years and you don't feel much heat, the ether vapor burns away super quickly and like she said blow out pretty quickly and you won't hardly feel it. Just don't panic lol
The first time I had to use a skin patch i didnt know that lighting it on fire was an option but when my pso showed me I was amazed. It actually works!
Thank you for the tips! I have used most of them but it is always good to have a refresher. There is an old school tip that you didn't say for a sticky thumb. If you are having issues with your thumb sticking in the ball, take a dollar bill and wrap it around your thumb and twist it a few times. It works much like the napkin trick but can be done in between first and second shots in a frame. Most people have some sort of paper money on them and can get it out in seconds.
Thanks for those, i remeber a few of these, one i like is the note on the shoe, used to have them that said...left stay down...right ... slow down..thanks again
I love the acsent and the differentiation of a bunch of words in the Dictionary Sheets (lol 😆). It still makes sence when you hear it from the Hourse mouth 👄.
Tip #5 was very helpful. I'm certainly not going to be bowling any tournaments in this lifetime but even league hacks like me can get use from this tip. Even if you bowling in the same center the approach does change a lot from public use as well as weather.
Wonderful.. I tell my bowling friends that they would learn a lot from watching WPBA, they laugh. Form, head, arm to balance yourself, I can go on.. the fire on the thumb I do that, but their is other things you’ve shared with that I haven’t thought that way about, Especially the tape on the shoe.. Slow… Ty
I’ve been using Vacu Grips for 22 years and highly recommend. They allow you to still get in the ball when your fingers swell. You will need to change them more often than fixed grips but they are well worth it if you have issues with finger swelling.
@@remoevans7847 my fingers and thumb swell by game 3 in league. It's annoying. I got my thumb fixed by changing the size of the hole in all my balls and the way it is drilled. I don't use the regular thumb slug anymore. I use a customized slug that is more rough but can't get sticky like those regular white slugs. But my fingers like my middle finger swells a lot.
@@TraumaER You would definitely benefit from Vaccu Grips. I prefer the feel of the Vise but others swear by Turbo. I do use the Turbo switch grip interchangeable thumb which I prefer over the Vise IT system. Both would be worth experimenting with to give you the same feel from ball to ball.
@@remoevans7847 I just always thought they look weird because you have a small gap between the grip and the hole itself. Do they come loose after awhile?
@@TraumaER I’ve never had one come out during play but I always keep glue in the bag just in case. You don’t need as much glue, 1 spot at the bottom/back, bottom/front and a dab on top front/middle. Most people that self-install and PSO’s don’t leave them loose around the top like in the video. I’m fortunate enough to have a good friend with his own shop so I’ve done my own equipment layouts/drilling for a long time now.
In tournaments do they allow you to have music headphones in while you bowl I've always been curious of that cuz I get distracted easy and music helps keep me focused

Thank you! I was really impressed with the idea of cutting up the interchangeable soles... very very smart.

thanks for these tips! my biggest problem personally is the mental game. it really got the better of me during my high school competition years.
I love your “get it done, no matter what” attitude. Very inspiring. Great video.
These are awesome tips! I haven’t heard of a lot of these so going to apply these to the appropriate situations, thank you!! ❤

Thanks DP! Love the note to self tape or hand! I run into those times with the pair of lanes are completely different oil patterns!

Awesome. Thank You!
Writing down is a good idea. I made a printout of a bowling lane and made marks on the sheets.

These are like hidden secrets of the pros. I never heard any of these before and I’ve been bowling 30 years. 😱

If you start from the right and it hooks too much and then you start moving left, do you change your target if you move left?
Hi pajak im yor fan from Malaysia
Brilliant!!!

Pba or sanctioned USBC, no. Can't wear head phones or ear buds.
Well that sucks for me thanks for letting me know
I use a dollar bill to remove any excess / old residual tape adhesive from my thumb hole

You can do the same thing with a dollar bill.

Very good tips. Too many given at a time. Simplify by giving one to two tips . 5 mins max better
Or have a longer attention span?
Don't lick your fingers. So dirty.
