If you notice the scars they're around where the vr devices are. It means they've overused the devices and they've been in the virtual world for so long.
In my opinion, the scars and wound is just a superficial feature. When you choose an avatar, you would decide how you would look like. They opted yo have those scars and wounds for they look manly with them. I really love the mv. Thanks for watching and reacting.
My theory also is that the bruises represent that if the Gayuma(spell) doesn't effect anymore , is that when you realize and wake up from reality that you're just just being enchanted you would be hurt and in pain that's why they got bruises,...
